Moonlight And Pull.

1105 Words
The moon hung low and silver over the forest, its light painting the world in pale, shimmering shadows. Aria Vale moved cautiously along the narrow trail, moss damp beneath her feet, heart thrumming. Every sense was alert, every instinct screaming that Lucian was near. She didn’t have to look to feel him. His presence was a weight in the air, magnetic and unyielding, pulling at her like gravity. Even now, her Luna flared in response, tugging at her awareness, demanding she acknowledge it. “You’re tense,” Lucian said, appearing from the shadows as silently as a predator. His golden eyes glowed, catching the moonlight, and she felt her knees weaken. “Every step you take betrays it.” “I’m not,” she tried to reply, though her voice wavered. Her pulse throbbed, betraying the lie. He tilted his head, letting the faintest smile tug at his lips. “Your body says otherwise,” he murmured. He stepped closer, letting her feel the warmth radiating from him without touching. Just his proximity set her skin on fire. Aria’s breath caught. Every instinct, every nerve screamed toward him. She wanted to step back—but she couldn’t. Her Luna ached, coiling inside her, urging her forward, drawing her nearer to the Alpha she both feared and craved. “Look at me,” he said softly. His voice was low, intimate, commanding. She raised her eyes, meeting his gaze, and in that moment, it felt as though the world had shrunk to just the two of them. Lucian leaned closer, and she could feel the heat of his presence pressing against her. The faint scent of him—wood, smoke, and something distinctly him—was intoxicating. Her body responded without her permission. Every nerve was alive, every instinct screaming obedience, yet her mind fought it. “You feel it, don’t you?” he whispered near her ear. “The pull between us. The recognition of your Luna. You cannot hide from it.” “Yes,” she breathed, voice trembling. “I… I feel it.” His smile widened, slow, predatory, yet gentle enough to unsettle her. “Good,” he said. “Honesty is important. Awareness comes next. And obedience… well, that will come in time.” Lucian’s hand brushed past her hair, not touching, but leaving a whisper of warmth on her cheek. Her stomach tightened at the faint sensation. The subtle claim was enough to ignite heat, enough to leave her trembling with anticipation. “Your Luna is awakening,” he murmured, his eyes roaming her face like he could see every hidden thought. “She recognizes me. Even if your mind does not yet want to. You are responding… instinctively. Naturally. Inevitably.” Aria’s heart thundered in her chest. Her body leaned subtly toward him before she could stop it, reacting to instincts she didn’t fully understand. Fear and desire tangled in a knot that left her breathless, every pulse screaming. Lucian stepped closer, letting their shoulders brush. The contact was brief but deliberate—enough to send sparks along her nerves. Her core coiled, a low, relentless ache building that she could not ignore. Her mind whispered retreat, but her body whispered surrender. “You cannot resist me,” he said softly, almost a growl. “Not your mind. Not your body. Not your Luna. The pull is too strong, and you know it.” “Yes,” she whispered again, barely audible. Her voice shook, body trembling, as she fought the undeniable truth. Her Luna, awake and insistent, demanded she yield, even as her mind screamed caution. Lucian’s lips curved faintly. He leaned just enough to let the warmth of his presence brush her shoulder, letting the intimacy settle like a weight she couldn’t lift. The touch wasn’t fully claiming—but it was marking, teasing, drawing her closer without permission. “You are mine,” he whispered. “And this… tension, this fire, this pull—it is only the beginning. The world can’t interfere. The forest can’t hide it. Your body cannot deny it. Your Luna cannot hide it.” Aria shivered violently. Her thoughts scattered. She wanted to flee, to step back, but her body betrayed her again, leaning imperceptibly closer. Her senses were alive in a way they had never been before, every nerve ending buzzing with awareness, heat, and the undeniable pull of the Alpha beside her. Lucian reached for her hand, brushing his fingers against hers. The contact was fleeting but intentional, and her breath caught in her throat. Her Luna responded instantly, coiling, urging, claiming. “Do you feel it?” he asked softly, voice vibrating with intent and dominance. “The desire, the pull, the inevitability?” “Yes,” she whispered again. Her voice was nearly a breath, her body trembling, reacting instinctively to the dominance she could neither fight nor deny. He let his fingers linger, brushing along hers with deliberate slowness, teaching her, marking her, claiming her subtly. “Good. Your Luna knows. Your body knows. Soon, your mind will too. And when that happens…” He let the words hang, unspoken yet heavy with promise. “…you will crave it.” Her knees threatened to buckle. She sank slightly onto a mossy rock near the stream, body humming, pulse racing. She had not surrendered fully—not yet—but the pull, the claim, the slow burn was undeniable. Lucian crouched slightly to meet her gaze, golden eyes catching the moonlight. “You are learning,” he said softly. “Learning that being mine is inevitable. Learning that your Luna can’t resist me. And learning… that the fire between us is only growing.” Aria trembled, chest heaving, as her senses screamed at her, begging for release she could not name yet. She had no words, no defenses, only instinct and awareness and the magnetic draw of her Alpha. Lucian stood, offering his hand again. This time, it was less teasing, more deliberate. “Come with me,” he said. “Stay close. Let the pull guide you. Let your Luna follow what is natural.” She hesitated only a heartbeat before placing her hand in his. The warmth, the pressure, the inevitability of it all made her shiver. She knew—deep inside—that she would never be the same again. The moonlight glinted off the stream, silver ripples reflecting their forms. For a moment, the forest seemed to hold its breath. Aria Vale’s Luna was awake, her body and instincts pulled irrevocably toward Lucian Blackthorn—and the slow burn was far from over.
