wasn't until he snapped his at my face that I fully awoke from my depression.
" I was saying ...," he said staring at me. "Did you get me Miss. Annie?" He asked cooly.
I stared at him dumbfoundedly - like he was an alien, my head still reeling.
"Forget it," he said gritting his teeth. "I'll start over."
"Miss. Annie or should I say Mrs. Park." He started
I blushed slightly, visibly flustered at the title he addressed me with.
"As per our contract," he continued exuding an overwhelming aura, "you are to act as the perfect daughter and wife- mind you," he shot me a sharp glare, I will condone no mistakes. Also keep in mind that any drastic action I take there is not willingly but to show my parents how real we are- I could even go as far as kissing you or..." He paused smirking.
He had previously smashed all hope with his straightforwardness but now it was restored - he must have an interest in me.
While still discussing what I should do and not do, we arrived at his parents house- and it was beautiful!
I marvelled for half a second before being snapped back to reality by my boss.
"We're in my parents house," he sternly reminded. "Everything we do is closely monitored by them so we have to act the part to fool them."
I nodded vigorously not caring to understand the implications of his words but simply drooling at the splendor of the house.
He got out of the car, and just as I was about to follow suit, the car door opened revealing his striking features.
I felt an urge right there and then- I don't even know what came over me, but I pulled him by the tie gently drawing him towards me - my other hand finding its way into his thick luscious hair and kissed him.
He didn't draw back which quite surprised me- instead, he loosened my grip on his tie and took control- pushing me back into the car seat.
[Few Minutes Later]
I was panting, trying to catch my breath when he finally released me- the feel of his tongue still playing inside my mouth.
"Wow! Genius Miss. Annie." He offered me his first genuine smile since meeting him. "How'd you even spot them? Ha! We've already managed to fool my parents our first few minutes of arriving."
[soliloquizing] "this is good." He said
I could only offer a bitter smile in return. He'd just stolen my first kiss and brushed it off as nothing.
Fighting back tears, we walked hand in hand towards the main house.
Unbeknownst to me, that little urge of mine saved us a great deal.
