4 Unexpected News I didn’t hear Kate come in last night. I waited up for a while to talk to her, but in the end I was too worn out with all the day’s drama, and so I went to bed early. I’m sitting up in bed now, quietly drinking my morning tea, and waiting for her to wake up. I’m trying to decide how to tell her about Kempton and the danger he poses.
