I stood at the podium, look at the many faces of my soon to be pack. Today was the day that I would confront these 'rumors' about me head on. I had a duty as soon to be Alpha, to insure that my subordinates know who is the one in power and who they need to show respect to. I have to show them that I will not nor can I tolerate the spread of rumors within my pack. And if thereis anything that needs to be said or if there is a question about the well being of me as Alpha, they need to take it up with me.
As everyone took their seat, and Mason took his postion to my left I began the meeting.
"I called this meeting here today to straighten out some problems that I have been alerted to by my soon to be Beta Mason. Mason has brought it to my attention that a number of you have being talking amongst yourselves about myself. Spreading rumors about myself having secret romatntic meetings with a certain species."
I stopped momentarily. Making sure that I had everyones full attention before I said this next part.
Making eye contact with almost everyone in the crowd I continued with my statement.
"The answer to the first part of all of your questions is NO. I have not been ROMANTICLY meeting in secret with any vampire. Yes, I have been meeting with a vampire. Collaborating a list of all the Vampires expected to attend my 20th birthday celebration as away to bring our pack and their covens closer. Forming allies. Now if any one has anything thing that they want to get off of their chest say it now, because I will not tolerate another rumor outbreak without you consulting me first."
I glanced around the room, looking for anyone who may have something to say. I stopped on a lady with her hand slightly raised.
Her name is Baylee Adams, and she is known to be quite the sassy, feisty, annoying, trouble-some, and know-it-all type. This girl has single handedly been involved in 6 differnt altercations that have resulted in fights, and sever punishments. Let's just say we keep a eye on her as often as we can.
"Yes, Miss Adams?", I asked with a slight bothersome tone to my voice.
"I just want to be clear. So you were secretly having meetings with a VAMPIRE, but yet you only came forth with this information only after you were alerted by your future Beta that pack members were talking. So my question to you is how can we trust that you have the necessary skills to lead us as Alpha if you were not able to hear this rumors yourself? Shouldn't an Alpha already know what is being said throuhout the pack and more specificlly about them?"
Shocked isn't even an accurate word I would use to describe how taken back I was at the blatant disrespect and the amount of insolence within that question was astounding. With a look of disbelief and with a now evident tinge of redness in my face stated the obvious. I was pissed.
I wanted to know why Baylee thought it was okay to speak to me as if I was a regular pack memeber and not her soon to be Alpha. Just because her father was the beta my father picked to be by his side and to help keep this pack in line doesn't mean she gets a free pass to speak to me any kind of way she wants.
I locked eyes with Baylee, "First and foremost Miss Adams', you will adress me accordingly and not like some basic commoner. I am Arianna Wolfe, future Alpha to this pack, the Black Wolfe pack and I will not stand for your disreguards to show me the respect that I deserve."
"If you won't stand for it, then maybe you should sit." Baylee sneered with a cut of her eyes.
Never have I ever had my authority tested by a pack member, until today. And today was the day that I was going to make an example out of Baylee.
Before my father, Mason, or Beta Charles could intervine I lunged into the sea of pack member and onto Baylee.
My usual iris color became clouded with my wolf's black iris color. At this moment I Arianna Wolfe ceased to exist, and the persona of Nevaeh sprouted.
I could feel me mentally being pushed into the back of my mind. I witnessed everything that was happening but it was like I had no control over my mind or body. Almost like being in a dream where your actions are carried out by some unseen force and your along for the ride.
I watched as Nevaeh hit Baylee suqare in the nose, shattering it into pieces. Blood immediately began to pour from Baylee's nose but Nevaeh didn't stop there. She hit Baylee again, but this time in the lip, and then another on her cheek bone. I could clearly hear the cries of pain that lingered from Baylee's mouth. I could also hear lots and lots of commotion going on around us, as the scene played out in front of the pack. There were sounds of screaming, clapping, and stomping that buzzed around me.
I had to reason with her.
"NEVAEH THAT'S ENOUGH!" I yelled into the dark abyss that was my mind.
"SHE DISRESPECTED US ARIANNA! SHE NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!" Nevaeh barked back.
If something didn't happen soon, Nevaeh was going to kill Baylee.
Without a second to spare I was being yanked from Baylee's beaten body, by several pairs of arms. Baylee's figure fadded away in the distance as I was being totted into the 'dungon'.
The 'dungon' was the place were we held captives, those convicted of treason, disobedient wolfs and things in that nature.
If I was being brought here then Moon Goddess knows I was in trouble.
