Chapter 16 Hana buttered the bread and Ryan placed chicken between the pieces and added copious amounts of ketchup. “I don’t need all that,” he commented, misunderstanding Hana’s task. “Oh, I know. I’m making something for Logan and Phoe. We didn’t get lunch and she’s probably hungry after her meltdown.” Ryan collected the buttery slabs and dutifully laid strips of meat between the layers. He seemed to take more care over theirs. Hana cut them up neatly and placed them onto plates, covering them with film and suspecting she might have to hunt down her husband and baby.
