THE RISE OF THE DRAGON QUEEN.

THE WAR

Just as they left castle rock, babarians raided those outside the castle, many flee from the attack and were able to gain access to the castle gate just in time before it was sealed. Others who couldn't keep up were captured tortured and killed, the babarians were dead point on making them miserable to wait at the gate in order to starve them till they would end up surrendering. king Derek was adamant even after being told by Arnold his adviser not to send anyone out of the castle, he refused and sent two Knights to secretly go to Nottingham and inform king Damian and ask for their help. On their way, they were caught killed and beheaded, the babarians put their head on a stake in front of the castle gate to serve as warning for those who trespasses .

The whole of castle rock was in turmoil, most were injured, there was not enough food to last them till the siege which no one knows when it would end, panic everywhere. The king called his trusted elite to the court room to make a decision on what next to do. Just as they were suggesting Eric volunteered to go looking for help.

" are you okay? do you know that if you are caught it would be over for castle rock because you are my heir " King Derek said.

" but we can't just stay and do nothing " Eric replied. As father and son argued, Richard stepped out volunteering to go instead.

" you can't, you were entrusted to me by your father and if anything happens I'll be held responsible for it " Arnold said.

" I want to, don't know if my father is still alive, I have to find him if he is, I can't just wait and do nothing " Richard replied.

" but you can not go alone, it would be dangerous " Arnold said.

" who said he is going alone, I will accompany him " Daniel replied " and protect him" he chuckled.

They waited till noon before setting out, passed through the underground tunnel although it had been abandoned for years but it was the safest way out without being discovered. They walked through the tunnel with torches, on getting to the end of the tunnel, they put off the torches in order to avoid being seen.

They journeyed towards Nottingham but Richard pleaded to check his father on their way there. On getting to their village he saw no one, it was burnt to the ground. Richard cried but was consoled by Daniel. They decided to stay the night in one of the barns because of cold. Just as the day dawned, they were awoken by babarians with swords to their neck.

" what kind of carelessness was that " they thought to themselves.

The babarians marched them towards the city, and shouted to king Derek. Arnold was scared seeing Richard there, but there was nothing that he could do. They bowed their head and were about to be beheaded before arrows fired at those who were to behead them, the rider was on a white horse, the rider face covered with a veil. The rider carried bow and arrows. The rider came down and sent the horse away, continually firing at the babarians, this bought Richard and Daniel enough time to set themselves free, they also picked a weapon and joined the fight . The arrows were exhausted and the rider wore the bow, brought out two swords, just as the fight began other warriors covered came and attacked, the battle was hot and the babarians fell one by one but none of the masked fighters got injured.

King Derek was surprised not knowing who intercede on their behalf.

" it is Alexa " Arnold replied " she is the only one that fights like that, her and her knights".

They fought till every last one of the babarians had died, all of castle rock were happy and over joyous of being freed. They danced and sang praises, the masked fighters entered in to the castle, before they could enter, they were asked to remove their mask.

After revealing their mask, it was seen to be Alexa and her knights. Alexa only told Richard that his father was save in Nottingham and that there was nothing to be worried about, then she whistle for her horse and rode away with her knights.
