THE RISE OF THE DRAGON QUEEN.

THE TOURNAMENT

Kings, princes, knights and able bodies men of royalty were invited to the tournament. This was the conquest of pride, anyone who emerges as the winner would be favoured by the king of castle rock. King Derek invited his best friend king Damian to the tournament, he also wanted to use this opportunity to join Alexa and his son Eric in royal union.

The entry for the conquest began and knights princes and royalty signed up for the tournament, the rules were simple, you have to fight till you defeat your opponent and the last man standing wins the conquest.

king Derek's son Eric entered the conquest in disguise for security purposes. King Damian's son Alex too entered the conquest, little did they know that Alexa Alex twin secretly entered the conquest. Before the tournament the king had a feast in the evening for all invited guest, there he introduced Eric to Alexa, Alexa felt disgusted by their first meeting, she was so glad that she wore a veil. Although Eric on the other hand had eyes for only Lily the palace servant. The party went on all night, and everyone got drunk. Just as the party was about ending, Richard sighted Lily, so he decided to speak to her.

"hey how are you?" Richard asked

"I'm good thank you" lily replied

"Never saw you after that day" he said

" I was quite busy " she replied and walked away leaving him to his thoughts.

It was almost midnight and everyone retired back to their various rooms.

Meanwhile in Alex's room, Alexa and Alex kept arguing about the tournament.

" Alexa, you can enter the competition, you are a girl and if you are found out, you could be brutalized by other candidates" Alex said.

" The main reason for me entering the competition is to proved that the so called prince I'm to be married to is a half witted asshole " Alexa said.

" So you're doing all this just to get out of your marriage with Eric?" Alex asked.

" Yes and I'll do more cause I don't love him." Alexa replied.

" Don't tell me that you plan on using magic in the tournament, you know that father has restricted you from using your powers especially here in castle rock, you know what king Derek did to those who had magic after his wife demise " Alex said.

" I do not plan on using magic, I'm capable of defeating anyone without magic and secondly I'm wearing my magic restriction bracelet. " Alexa replied him.

" sometimes I wish that mom was here, she'll definitely know what to do in such situations " Alex said

" Mum's not here so we have to be strong for ourselves " Alexa replied.

It was almost dawn and Alexa decided to go back to her room, while walking through the corridor, she bumped into a figure, she was dumbfounded seeing such a handsome man in front of her.

" Hello! I'm Daniel and you? " Daniel said stretching forth his hands for an handshake.

" I'm Alexa by the way, nice to meet you but I go to go" Alexa said and hurried towards her room.

Alexa banged the door behind her and dozed off on her bed dreaming of the handsome man that she just met.

It was morning and the game had began, all the kings and others who came with their wards or princes or knights, sat at the top view with the king. King Damian was worried not seeing his daughter, but he kept hoping that all would be well.

The first round went pretty well, although there were four contestants that disguised themselves. After the second round, reaching the semi final, they started playing a rough game, injuring anyone in the way.The game was at the final stage with six contestants left. Daniel, Alex, Alexa, Eric, unknown masked man and Brian.

Brian and the masked man went first, after continuous fighting, Brian lost gaining lot of brusies. Eric and Daniel went next and Eric lost to Daniel, the next duel was between Alex and Alexa, Alex had no intention of fighting his sister because no matter what, he would lose anyway so he surrendered.

The final match was between Alexa, Daniel and the masked man. They were given an hour break to rest before the final match. After the rest, the masked man and Daniel battle up to the extent that he broke Daniels bones, Alexa then noticed that he was using magic. after defeating Daniel, his fight with Alexa began, Alexa know she had to stop him because he had ulterior motives. Alex was scared for his sister because he sensed danger, all he could do was pray.

After awhile Alexa saw his bracelet that was incurring the magic power, she targeted it and broke it, immediately the masked man turned into a hideous creature, just as Alexa was about to strike him, he headed for Eric, Eric was so scared that he froze until when Alexa dugged her blade through his heart then he faded into ashes.

King Derek thank Alexa for saving his son and asked her what she wants in return, but the only that Alexa asked for was Lily the palace servant. king Derek made a promise so he has to keep it then he handed lily over to her. After everything, she was asked to reveal herself which she did everyone was astonished and surprised. No one knew the exact reason why she asked for lily, even Alex was surprised because he thought that she was going to call off the marriage with Eric.
