Hey, Luci

Chapter Eight

Lucifer is standing at the top of the mountain in Hell island. He has two guests on his side right now that can help him to build his city.

“Your plan is great but kinda hard.” a big guy with a deep voice said.

He is 7’2 tall with a beard, well- build body, short hair, and white eyes. He is dressed like some kind of a man in old age time with no shirt and skirtlike pants that are made of tiger’s coat. He is the demon of weapons and the ambassador of hell, Thamuz.

“That is a great plan, actually.” the beautiful man said.

He is like a girl in his long blonde hair, pleasant and charming looks, and blue eyes. He is kinda small in his 5’4 height that makes him more like a woman than a guy. He is dressed like a prince with his descent and proper posture and attitude. He is the demon chief of the fallen angels, Semiazas.

“I want this Hell island to be made as soon as possible. Gather all the gammas to work here as your labors.” Lucifer demanded.

“No problem,” Semiazas answered.

And without any consideration, Lucifer vanished in thin air. The two demons sighed in frustration but still do what their boss want. Semiazas disappeared to call the gammas in the underworld. It is the ordinary demons that are helping guard the three layers of hell, cleaning the mansion, and building some structures that are needed. They are capable of fighting too and Semiazas is their head.

The Demon King appeared in front of the unknown street. He walked on the sidewalk and silently gave mischief to all people he passed by. Some of them broke their phones, smashed their head in a light post, stumbled, and fall. He keeps on walking until a sweet and delicious aroma filled his nostrils. His tummy growled in response so, he followed the smell.

Lucifer frowned and stilled when she saw the house of the girl. Her mother is the one selling the bread in front of their house. And he is sure that the mortal lady is baking inside their house.

“Not again. Why the hell am I here?” he grunted.

As soon as possible, he doesn't want to see the girl again. But it seems like the destiny and fate are messing with him so, they keep on crossing their path over and over again. Lucifer sighed and teleported himself inside. He saw the girl preparing her newly baked bread and cookies.

“I am only here because of the food. That’s it. Nothing less, nothing more.” he says to himself.

He is nodding as he keeps on making himself believe in his thoughts. Lucifer walked towards the trays and started eating the cookies. His eyes grew wide as soon as he taste how good the chocolate cookies are. So, he took the whole tray of it and sat in the darkest corner of the house.

Shairelyn noticed the missing tray. She is very sure that she already made five trays of bread and five trays of cookies. But, one tray of cookies is missing. She looked around and found nothing.

“Did I count it wrong?” she asked herself. Then, she shrugged. “Okay. Maybe.”

The girl went out of the house to bring the trays of bread to her mother. While Lucifer is confused in a corner. The Demon Lord doesn't know why does the girl have any violent reactions to what he did. In the previous days that he keep on messing with her life, he never saw nor heard the girl cussing nor protesting. That made his brows furrow.

“What's wrong with her?” he whispered.

Frustrated, Luci eats all the cookies in the tray and unbothered throw them away. The stumbled tray cause a noise that made Shairelyn rush again inside. She saw the tray on the floor with nothing on it. Her brows furrowed and took it back to the table.

“I can make a new one.” She smiled.

“Seriously. What the f*ck is wrong with her?” Lucifer growled.

Because of too much irritation, the King decided to mess her life over and over again. Luci turn on the stove in its high volume that make the cookies burnt. He even makes the water from the bathroom flood the entire living room. He collected mice and throw them in the kitchen, and bring a lot of customers to make her grind more. But in the end, Shairelyn overcomes all of it.

“This is ridiculous!” Luci yelled and messes his hair.

The girl is smiling and full of life. He never saw her quivering in frustration and cursing him to death. Lucifer can see an imaginary halo and wings in her for her too much kindness and purity. He suddenly wants to puke.

“Wow! We earned a lot of money today.” her mother cheered.

Shaire smiled. “This is our new beginning, Mom.”

“Indeed. Thanks to your amazing skills.” the mother replied cheekily.

“I learned from the best,” Shaire said proudly.

After several minutes of rest, she went to her room. Shairelyn is so tired that she can't help but jump on her bed and lay. While Lucifer is just watching her from the corner of her room.

“Thank you for the blessings!” Shaire said happily.

The devil cringed and rolled his eyes in annoyance. He is right in his thoughts that this girl has a strong fate and believes in his father. That’s why he never saw her in the worst state.

“Let's see if she can still hold her purity, kindness, and fate,” Luci mumbled.

He is thinking of revealing himself to her. He knows that the girl will be horrified and scared when she saw him. So, he fixed his coat and hair. Then, he walked towards the girl and stood in front of her window. As a good entrance, he make the wind blows hard that opened the window and makes the girl startled and stiff. Then, he smiled and snapped his fingers.

Shairelyn stood up when a strong wind opened her window. She will be going to close it again when a guy suddenly appeared in front of her. Her eyes grew wide and shock printed on her face.

“W- Who are you?” she asked.

Lucifer laughed. “I am Lucifer.”

Shaire stilled and goosebumps eats her whole body. She looked at the man in front of her and slowly think about what she heard. The man said that he is Lucifer. But, the only lucifer she knows is the demon written in the bible.

"Is it true that you are the devil named Lucifer?" Shaire asked. Curiosity is in her voice.

"Yes, I am. The famous King of the underworld is standing right in front of you. You are a very lucky mortal." he said.

"B-But where is your tail? I thought that you have horns and painted red." the girl amused.

"Where the f*ck did you get that disgusting description about me?!" Luci snarled horrified.

Do you remember the saying that Lucifer is once an angel and the most beautiful creature in heaven? Well, that is absolutely true. The man standing in front of Shaire is not the devil that everyone's talking about that is painted red with a tail and two horns. She is now looking for the most hottest and handsome creature in the entire universe.

“That’s the reason why bad luck is happening around me.” the girl said.

Luci nodded. “Yes.”

“You put my life in danger,” she added.

The devil nodded again. “Yes, I am.”

But Lucifer’s eyes grew wide when the girl laughed. She is so happy that she even holds her tummy. Then, she sat on the edge of her bed and looked at him. Her eyes are sparkling and a smile is all over her face.

“What’s with that face?” Luci asked.

“Thank you,” Shaire said. “If you don’t put my life in danger back there in the bakery, my mother may not be this happy. You changed our life, Mr. Devil.”

The King of the Underworld stilled. His jaw dropped and his heartbeat fast. Nobody has done this nonsense to him before. He is receiving thank you’s from his comrades but he knew that it’s all fake and sarcastic. But this girl, he can feel her sincerity.

“W- What did you say?” Luci stuttered.

“I said, thank you, Lucifer.” the girl said.

“What the hell?” he whispered.

With that, the Demon Lord vanished in thin air. Shairelyn blinked multiple times to assured that she is not dreaming. But, the man in front of her is really gone. She just shrugged and went to her bathroom to take a bath.

Lucifer appeared at the top of the mountain on Hell Island. Thamuz who are busy flattening the ground for his mansion startled by his boss’s sudden appearance.

“What’s with that face, Lucifer?” the demon of weaponry asked.

His boss is glowing and a smile is written on his face. Thamuz stopped what he is doing and called Semiazas. The two demons looked at their boss who is looking at the ocean.

“Lucifer?” Semiazas called.

The King looked at them with his cheeky smiles that made the two shiver and cringe. They are not used to this kind of vibe of their boss so, they are all worried.

“What are you two doing?” Luci asked. Smile is still visible.

“I- I am commanding the gammas to cut few trees for the resort,” Semiazas answered.

“I am flattening this part of the mountain for your mansion,” Thamuz replied.

Luci giggled. “Great! Let me help you.”

The two demons nodded as a response. Then, without any words, Lucifer smashed the big rocks with his high kick. The two devils looked at each other as they float in the air because their boss is smashing everything.

Several minutes later, six other mutts joined them. They are now watching their boss who is now totally insane. Lucifer is laughing while he is smashing the rocks.

“What the f*ck is wrong with him?” Leviathan asked.

“I have no idea,” Semiazas answered.

“He just appeared here with a creepy smile and offered his help,” Thamus said.

“Is he glowing?” Mammon asked.

“What the f*cking hell? Yes, he is!” Abaddon yelled.

“I hate to say this but, this is a miracle.” Asmodeus laughed.

The demons sighed in unison and slowly floats towards their boss. They landed one by one on the ground and faced the Demon Lord.

“Hey, guys!” Lucifer greeted them.

“What is happening?” Belphegor asked.

Luci shook his head. “Nothing.”

“Why the f*ck are you glowing?” Leviathan questioned him.

Luci shrugged. “Am I?”

“You’re now like a f*cking angel!” Mammon exclaimed.

Lucifer nodded. “I am indeed once an angel.”

“He is getting crazier,” Abaddon commented.

Thamus raised his left hand. “This is enough, Luci. You have smashed a lot.”

Luci laughed. “I am happy to help.”

The devils cringed and chills started to occur on their spines. This is new to them. Yes, their boss is crazy but not as crazy as this. He is now a total freak.

“Do you guys still need my help?” Luci asked.

Semiazas shook his head. “We can handle the rest, Luci. Thank you.”

“Thank you for your time,” Thamuz said.

Lucifer nodded happily. “You are all very much welcome.”

“Are you okay, Lucifer?” Leviathan asked.

The King nodded. “Yes, I am.”

“Why are you like that?” Asmodeus added.

“I received too many thank yous today.” the Demon Lord smiled.

An imaginary question mark appeared on the heads of the devils. They didn’t understand anything. Being the crazy boss, Lucifer vanished in a blink of an eye without any further ado.

Lucifer is smiling while he is laying on his bed. He can't erase his smiles and his heart is beating so fast because of too much happiness. He never felt this before. He wonder why did it happen and what’s with that mortal girl. He is expecting the human to be horrified, bow her head, and be scared when he revealed himself. But the opposites happened.

“This is so f*cking strange,” he mumbled.
