Chapter 21: Lochlann
Despite being a safe place, Lochlann felt uncomfortable on the farm. Whitney got along fine with the dragon family, and they gave Wren a kind of stiff acceptance, but they were otherwise cold to the rest of them. Arvi got along with them the best, but that was probably because they and the adopted daughter were very obviously f*****g. Her eyes lit up when Arvi entered the room, and they in turn were constantly grinning when she was around.
“So, you in love?” asked Lochlann one day when he was helping Talfryn and Akton muck the horses’ stalls. Here on the farm they could use their shifter skills. He’d be less help without them. Arvi rocked on their feet and grinned.
“What a question. You mean like you and those two?”
