Chapter 35: Akton
One of the dragons swore as they burst out of the staircase and Akton grinned. It sounded like Talfryn had opened the door into him. Akton thought everything would be immediate chaos, but Talfryn and Elen took out the two dragons before he and Lochlann had even left the stairs. Arvi glanced down the corridor options, thinking quickly.
“We’re getting better at this,” said Talfryn. Akton would have commented but Wren was motioning to him and Lochlann, and together they kicked the bodies onto the stairs before shutting the door. If they came back this way when they were finished, it would be annoying to deal with, but for now it bought them a little extra time. Had Akton killed them there would be a blood trail, but Talfryn and Elen were clean enough.
