Nicholas's POV
"It has been a while since we gathered around the table like this." Charity bubbled in excitement as she placed the wine on the table.
Leonard, charity and I used to have dinner at least once a week to make our bond stronger as a family, but since I got married, I've been coming up with different excuses to avoid dinner.
"It is because Mr 'I have to stay with my wife' decided to honor our invitation tonight." Leonard teased me.
Leonard and charity are no longer oblivious to the turmoil in my marriage. In fact, charity planned the dinner to help me ease the tension in me. I would have declined their offer, but I didn't decline the offer this time because I needed the little family gathering now more than ever.
"I don't sound like that," I countered Leonard.
