Nicholas's POV
I made sure Nicole was not in the living room before I tiptoed out of my room. I know I could go out without her knowledge, but I don't want her to make a mountain out of a mole again. The argument tonight was enough. I don't want another one with her.
Maybe it would be for the best if I just agreed to the divorce. Maybe it was time to let Nicole go. I tried my best to be a good friend even if I was not a good husband. I really wished things could work out with us, but I don't know if it would ever be possible.
Now that she was with Julian, maybe she would be happy with him. Maybe she would have peace with Julian. Defeat washed over me as I pictured her smiling with Julian.
I had invited Charity for a drink and I hoped she would come. I got into my car and drove out.
