Alexander POV

I just wanna get lost sometimes! I have so many duties and I have to act according court rules all the time, but it is the price of being born in this family.

I rise my eyes, to look at the place I call home. Everybody thinks it is fun to live in a palace! Yeah, I live in a palace! My parents are the current Alpha King and Luna Queen, so this makes me the prince, if you didn't catch that. Soon I will be King myself.

It's not fun to be prince, all I know in my life, is constant training. I started all the training, when i was around 7 years old. I know perfectly 5 languages, have studied many fighting styles and I'm glad that I have done all this together with my best friend and Beta to be, Brian.

He is my fathers Betas son, so we grew up together and have been through a lot. It has only strenghtened our friendship, but we are more like brothers. He understands me best. We both have not met our mates jet.

My wolf, Dante, expects to find her soon, beacuse I'm 21. This is long time to wait for a wolf. I hope she will be perfect, not like those, who my mom invites here to meet me.

She hopes, I find my mate that way. But these woman from high ranked families are to annoying and extremly stuck up. I basically hate them right away and I try to get rid of them as fast as bossible. My most effective method is to excuse myself and come to hide here, in the centre of our garden. It is done like maze and it has a spot where i can see the palace and bonus is, that rarely someone comes here to look me up.

Exept, of course, my bro Brian.

"Yo dude! What are you moping here?" He asks.

I cant help, but to rise my one eyebrow "Yo dude??? Are you sure, this is the way to talk to your future king? Should you not talk with me with more respect? Would it be a sentury ago, you would have been lost your head already!"

He does a little motion, like he is thinking hard "Naw dude! You need some humor in your life and who is best to give it to you than me?" he grinns. "And besides you owe me! Big time! You left me with that barbie! Can you imagine, how pink can one girl be? I think that she thinks, talks and even sees in pink!!! And the worst part was, when you 'left suddenly', she started to try get to know me and I could not tell her what I think about meetings like that, beacuse your mother was standing with us and beaming broudly, thinking mayby one of us chooses that barbie to be our mate! And you just left me alone with them!"

I cracked a smile so wide now and felt even proud a little, that I could leave so finely this time.

He continued "So thanks bro for that! You are a true friend in this times and yes I will call you dude for some time now! To think, how I suffered to listen all that barbie talk!"

I could imagine that in my mind and could not hold it back anymore and started to laugh so hard.

"Yeah, let it all out! Laugh at your brothers misery! Laugh all you can, beacuse next time I will throw you into the lions denn and I will be gone so fast and I make sure that you have to mingle with the next obnoxious bimbo longer than 10 minutes!!!" And he turns into maniacal laugh, thinking I would be in trouble.

I c***k a smile and look into his eyes. As he calms slowly down, I say "You can try, be my guest! But I have many tricks jet to release and you even dont know what will hit you next time!!!"

His face goes shade lighter, as he understood, what was jet to come in future. To challenge Alpha is not good idea, but to challenge Alpha King to be, is the most worst idea ever.

Brian just sights, thinks fast and accepts his fate, and smirks "Ok dude! Let the best bro win, when your mother shows us her next 'surprise guest'!"

I just shake my head at that thought and really hope not to see any these kind of 'guests' any time soon "I will talk with mother about that seriously! I can't stand her inviting all those girls here all the time!"

Brian just shrugged and told "Actually your father was able to link me before my escape, that he wants to meet us before dinner. I think he is going to send us to solve jet another pack problem!"

I actually like going on those trips, beacuse it helps me to get closer to my people and their problems. I really wish to be great King as my father is. He is really respected and admired by all. He seems to be strict and serious, but around me and my mom, facade falls and he is really fun and tries to give me a lot of advice, when he was training to become King. But most I like how he is with my mother, they are still in love like newlyweds and act like teenagers, when they think I have gone far enough from them, but I hear their giggling. It makes me now a little bit sad, beacuse I really hope I get same connection with my mate. My father was lucky, my mom lived in palace already and they knew each other before coming of age of 18. They were really thrilled to get to know they are mates. I'm not so lucky, beacuse it is so clear that my mate does not live near palace.

I sigh silently "OK dude! Let's go and see what my father has thought for us and mayby on this trip we get lucky and find our mates!"

"Dude??? How dare you call me that way??? Don't you know who I am? I am future beta of our future Alpha King and I will not be addressed that way!!! Authorities will be hearing about that! Mark my words!!!" He even throws one arm in the air.

I just can't hold it any more and start to laugh even harder than before "Please don't ever change my brother!"

As we walk back to palace, I thank the goddess, for having such a great friend!
