CHAPTER THREE

1324 Words
Lila's POV There was only one person in the world who could get me close to Jax — and calling her meant swallowing every word I had said when I walked away. I stared at the name on my screen for a long moment. Then I hit the dial button. "Hello, Mia." "Hmm. Hell must have frozen over." The voice on the other end laughed. "The great Lila is actually calling me. I'll be damned." "How have you been, babe? How's business?" I kept my tone as casual as I could manage. "Babe, you did not call me to ask how my immoral and demoralising business is thriving. So spit it out. Why are you calling?" She went straight for the jugular. "You still hate foreplay, I see. How ironic, considering your line of work." I laughed. "Time is money, baby!" She laughed with me. "Alright, straight to it then. I need a favour. I need a job." I still hadn't figured out the best way to say it — that I was crawling back on words I had spoken like gospel. Mia was one of my closest friends, and she had pulled me out of tight spots before. But I had never truly enjoyed the work she gave me. Still, a girl does what she has to do to survive. "Babe, you know I've always had your back — any time, any day. You were *born* to be Red. You were the one who decided you wanted something you could be proud of. My club is always open to the best, and you were the best. We are going to make serious money." I could already hear the excitement building in her voice, and it made what I had to say next sit heavier in my chest. "I'm not really coming back, Mia. I just need it temporarily, and I need you to help me secure one specific client. He's my target." The silence that followed felt like it stretched for years. "Well, it's a shame you're not coming back for real — I'd have loved to watch the biggest names in this city bid and bicker shamelessly for your time. But I know you, and I trust that this is for a good reason. So I'll help you." I nearly squealed. "I owe you. Seriously." "Yes, you do. And I will collect. Trust me on that. But before we go any further, I need a name. Some of my clients already have preferences and arrangements, so I need to know if it's even possible." "His name is Jax. Leader of the Vipers motorcycle club. He's exactly your type: tall, dark, the whole package. I need to get close to him." I walked into my room and flipped open my box to sort through my outfits while we talked. "Honey…" Mia's voice dropped. "Of all my clients, you had to land on the most paranoid one, didn't you? That one is a no-go area. Even for you." "What do you mean?" "You don't pick him. He picks you; and not without serious scrutiny first. And some of my girls say he's very… extreme." I laughed the moment she said it. "Extreme? Mia, that is literally the whole point of b**m. People go there *because* they want the extreme — they thrive on it. Why are your girls complaining?" I lay back on the bed. "Leave Jax to me. If he thinks he always gets to do the picking, I'll put on a show he won't be able to walk away from." "I know you will. The best I can do is get you an audience with him tonight. After that, it's on you; pray he picks you." She paused. "I'm glad to have Red back." "Red is here temporarily," I corrected her. "Jax will be in tonight. Can you make it?" "If he's there, I'm there. One more thing: I don't want him knowing my real name. As far as he's concerned, I'm just Red." "That's going to be a challenge with him specifically. He's paranoid to his core. But if he asks me directly, I won't give you up. Whether your act is convincing enough to override his instincts — that part is up to you." "No man has ever been able to resist me, Mia. Not even a dominant like Jax." I was already reaching for my outfit. "I'll see you in a few hours.” Throwing my phone to be bed, I sighed as I continue to sort for an outfit. “Urghh, what can I wear on my comeback night?” I needed to make quite a sexy first impression on Jax, wouldn't want to f**k the first night up. I tore deeper through the box till I found a red see-through outfit. The sexy wear was corset made, a good choice to show off my cleavages. The bodice were thin to expose my fair skin. “Hmm this is would definitely do”, I smirked as I moved to the bathroom to prepare for the night's show. Spraying my trademark scent on my neck and all over my bosom, I wore black leader coat over my killing outfit. After layering my lips with my favourite red lipstick, I moved to wearing my knee high boots over my cut through black leggings. Taking a final look at the mirror, I could help but smile at how beautiful I looked with my natural face. A choice I made since I have a mask to my “Red” reputation. My hair barely need touch ups since it's natural brown and wavy. “Woooowwww Girl you're killing!” Mia exclaimed the instance she saw me walk into the back of the club. That was my safe entry into the building. I smirked as she eyed my entire body, not bad since it's her. One of the thing I hated about this job was how crazy fuckers would eat me up with their eyes like I was their favourite meat. Moving to open the drawer where I had left my face mask, “Thanks Mia. You know me, I'm down for it when it's business” I winked at her. Switching into a serious tone, “So Jax is waiting for you in VIP room 1. Here is the key card”, I stared at what she said. “That was fast”, I pulled off my leather coat, exposing my deadly custome. “Girl, even Jax wouldn't sleep on booking the famous Red. He paid double the charge just to have you to himself tonight”. “Interesting, let's begin tonight's show”, putting on my red face disguise, I cat walked off with the key card in hand. Thoughts of Jax recognising me swarm my head but I swallowed that anxious feeling, trusting my expertise. Barging into the room with my dominant steps, I noticed Jax jerked up at the sound of the door. He sat up straight as my heels clicked against the white tiles. “Your safe word tonight will be ‘birdie’. Stick to my rules and we'll have a pleasant night. No touching, no moaning, no cumming until I tell you to”, I said with my dominant voice as I swayed towards the toys section. “That's no problem”. I paused. I moved towards him, swatting a leather belt against his back. He grunted in pain as he turned to face me in surprise. “It's, Yes master. And the rule begins the instance I step into this room”, I raised his chin to my face, “tonight won't be tough if you do as I say”. Throwing his face off, “now strip”. “Yes, master”. I walked back from him, smirking as the new energy that filled me. I have nothing to be anxious about after all.
