CHAPTER SIX

Lila's POV “So, what did he say? Did he like you?” Mia asked, sounding way more excited than I was. I sighed, taking off my mask, and massaging my wrists. “What did you expect? Have you ever seen anyone that could resist the great Red?” I bragged to her. “You are my biyatchhhhhhh!” She screamed as she high fived me. “Well, he asked to me to be his exclusive partner. That means no other person gets to touch this pu****. That was already what I was trying to go for anyway. But since he asked, I put a very high price and he agreed.” I continued, taking off my clothes and putting my regular clothes on, with Mia dancing around as if she had just won a lottery ticket. Well, she had already kind of did. “How much are we talking about?” She stopped, curiously asking. “Well, roughly five figures per month.” I shrugged, but stopped and pointed at her. “Remember our deal… fifty-fifty.” I warned her. Mia is a bestie, but she can be a beastie when it comes to money. “I know… I know. But why do you need so much money in the first place? You were never really about the money. You loved doing things because of the art and passion. I don't believe it's only to get back at that d**k called Kyle.” One look at her and you'll tell that Mia's intention was not to be a nosey poker, but she was just concerned. So, I decided to let my guard down. “My sister's condition has gotten worse. She has to be on the tube daily and I have to save enough for her surgery. It has become very very expensive.” I didn't know when I became quite teary and Mia moved to me and held my shoulder. “Sarah is all that I have and I don't know what I'll do if she… if she…” I couldn't contain myself anymore, as I sobbed on her shoulder. “That's so sad. I never knew it had gotten so serious. It seems you need this money more than I do.” I couldn't believe I was hearing my friend correctly. She's always a thousand and one things to do with whatever money she amasses, even up to a billion dollars. “Let's make it sixty-forty. Forty for me and sixty for you.” She smiled, cleaning my tears as I looked at her in utter shock. “Stop looking at me like I'm a monster. I have a heart, you know?” She laughed and took me by the shoulder to get some food. After that nasty experience I had with Jax, I could eat a whole deer if I was offered. … I left my motel as early as noon and took off on my bike. I was so glad that I had just finished paying for the bike from Kyle a few months ago, if not it would have been a weirder situation packing out of his apartment. Now that I have no day job, I have to find something doing to enact my sort of revenge plan on the cheating bastard. I needed to be the best female biker in the whole of Texas. And I know just where to start. Even though Jax rejected me from being a reaper because I was a member of the serpents, that did not stop me from training and taunting him close to where he stays, the Reapers’ hideout. I rode my bike to the abandoned brewery and as usual, heads turned when they saw an unknown biker come close to their territory without fear. I had already removed my serpent's insignia from my bike, so there was not an all out war. Several scary faced and heavily tattooed men with tight biceps and heavy testosterone kept eye-f*****g me, but I didn't care. Many of them had dog tags worn on their necks. Many of them are veterans, just like Jax. “Hello, boys! You like what you see?” I smirked, revving my bike so loud and moving in circles, just showing off my talents without letting any of them intimidate me. It seemed to even work the other way around. Finally, one of them was bold enough to walk up to me. “Hello, there.” He seemed shy and unlike the others. Yet, he carried a presence that I could tell that others respected him. He gestured to me to remove my bike helmet. Because he had a cute ass, I decided to oblige him. “What's up, pretty boy?” I asked, surprised to see a thickly built man blush so heavily. “I think you must have lost your way.” He responded, carefully. “Why do you think that?” I asked, resting on my bike, purposely showing him my cleavages. “You… I mean… this place is meant for members of the Reapers club.” He tried unsuccessfully to not be distracted by what he liked to see. “This is a public property, the last time I checked.” I enjoyed making him feel uncomfortable. I am not one to flirt, but his shyness unusually turned me on. “Yes, but you need to know that these people don't like to be f****d with.” He said his first curse word to me and I laughed till he became quite embarrassed. “You kiss your mother with that mouth?” I smiled at him when he couldn't respond. By this time, most of them decided to continue whatever they were engaged with initially. “You know what? I tried speaking to your boss to join the club earlier, but he was being a d**k about it, saying because I was a member of the Serpents club, he can't poach me…” I tried to blab on, but he quickly shut me. “Shhh… do not let anyone know that you were from… or else you will be bullied out of here.” He shunned me. I looked surprised at his proactiveness. “If you all don't like the…” I gesticulated instead of mentioning the word Serpent. “Then, why are you trying to protect me?” “I don't know. You seem like a chill person.” That was his response, and for a moment I felt a wave of emotion for him. “Well, thank you.” I responded, smiling and continued my story. “So, I have a new mission. I am going to come here everyday, taunting your boss about the golden ticket he missed till he comes to his senses and put me in his team.” He laughed, showing his unusual clean set of teeth. “Well, this place has gotten more interesting, I can say. But I don't think we will still be able to accommodate you.” “You know what, let me give a proposal to you all.” I stood on my bike and shouted at the top of my voice for all the bikers to hear me. “Listen everyone!” Once again all heads turned towards my direction. I was impressed with how bold I have suddenly become. Especially after my break up with Kyle. It was as if a layer had gone off and I can suddenly fly. “Pretty boy has said I cannot stay here because you all fuckers are intimidated by a woman!” I said it playfully that they all laughed. “What if I give a challenge right here and now. Let me race your best female biker, here and now. If I can beat her, you will leave me be here while I train on my own. Do you agree?” And for a moment, there was absolute silence as if everyone was amused, rather than taking me seriously. That was when I saw Jax glancing from the window at his office. He looked bewildered, and confused about why I was causing a chaos at his den. Just when I was about to give up, I heard a feminine voice from the crowd. A gorgeous blonde woman who looked like she had just done a boob job, wearing a goth like outfit walked up to me chewing hard gum and eye-f****d me. “It is on! Let's get this race started.” Her response got a very loud cheer from the entire gang. I smiled and looked at the handsome dude that initially approached me. “When I win this race, I'm getting your name.” I kissed him on the cheek, that my orange lipstick formed on his cheek.
