"Who approved the starting of this meeting?", Kaiden ask leaving all of us in shock including the COS.
"I did Sir. You said I should because you were in Italy for a meeting", the COS said raising his hand, still confused.
"Who said I will not attend this meeting?", Kaiden asked giving each and every one of us his stern look. His eyes went across the room, and we could see him grinding his teeth from inside.
All our eyes hit the floor as no one wanted to say anything or even look straight at him.
"I said it, because you asked me to Sir", the COS said and took a bow trying not to offend.
"I can't recall. Or are you insisting I am lying?"
"No Sir"
"Well, You are fired", Kaiden said to the COS, looking straight to his face and still grinding his teeth.
"But Sir...I am very sorry I said it. Please I have a family to feed", the COS pleaded. We could all see the sincerity in his eyes.
We all knew that the COS was right but we wouldn't dare to question Kaiden Kross.
"Get out!! Now!!!", Kaiden yelled at him and we all startled in fear. His inhumane nature never fails at all.
The COS was led to walk out in fear, also looking back for a bit of mercy, but Kaiden never had mercy.
The tension in the room was extreme this time around and I could feel my heart pounding and my sweaty palms. I tried very hard not to make eye contacts with Kaiden so he won't call me name.
"Mrs Trisha, please can you come to the center of the room and give us your own presentation", Kaiden said looking straight up at the wide screen that was mounted at the center on the room. My heart skipped.
I lingered trying to catch my breath and put my dress in check.
"Make it snappy, we don't have time", he yelled, his eyes still glued to the screen. I jerked off.
I stood up trying to hold my dress and also try not to prick myself with any pin.
With every step I took, I was very conscious. My seat was at the other end of the room, and I knew that this will be a long walk to the center of the room.
Then I started feeling slightly weird, as if my dress was a bit loosed. Oh no!
The pins in my dress started coming off, bit by bit at the zip end of my dress. Then my eye caught Kaiden's eyes and sweat began to tickle my forehead.
Each step I took made it worst because the pins started prick me and I had to stop walking.
The ultra silence in the room became very demeaning as every eyes where on me this time. "We don't have all the time in the world Mrs Trisha, so if you could just hurry up, it will be better for you and for all of us. Whatever you are doing, I personally, have all the time in the world", Kaiden said.
I had to pick up my pace a little bit more. I just hope this shame that Kaiden is putting me through will just end. Then my dress dropped and all my pins were loosed.
The back of my dress dropped completely and my dress was literally hanging on my shoulders. The pins at the herm of my dress revealed the folded part that was under the dress.
Kaiden's eye widened to the sight of it and his eyes scanned the room. Someone let out a little squeak of laughter at the left wing of the room and Kaiden eyes went to that part immediately.
"Who laughed here?", Kaiden inquired swinging his hand from one end of the wing to the other. Nobody responded. The whole left wing became more tensed than ever.
"I ask again, Who laughed?", Kaiden asked hitting the table this time. No one answered.
"Everyone in the left wing should get out of this meeting now, and I want to see your resignation letters on my desk by tomorrow, or else", Kaiden said, his words were very firm this time.
"I did it Sir", a guy with very dark hair with a maroon jacket said trying to free the other after much tantrums have been thrown at him for not revealing the truth earlier.
But it was too late as Kaiden fell to dead ears to all their pleas, as he never repeats himself. They were all led out of the room by the Securities who were standing outside.
Everyone who saw it tried to swallow their laughter so that they won't get fired.
"This meeting has officially been adjorned. Everyone can leave except you, Mrs Trisha", he said, and the remaining people who were not fired struggled to pass through the door so that he doesn't change his mind on them too.
He immediately took his jacket off to cover my now exposed back. "That's what happens when you don't what to stay with your husband, Mrs Trisha Kross", he said with his hands in his pocket.
He left me standing there before I could even say a word. I was very glad that the whole drama was finally over. Now I will have to come up with a strategy on how to get my stuffs from the Kingston Mansion without Kaiden's consent.
Come to think of it, Was Kaiden acting sweet to me just now?
What has gotten into Kaiden Kross?
What is the essence of fooling myself when I know fully well that Kaiden Kross will never mend his was.
