Chapter Nine

"I can't believe that all these happened in just one meeting", Stacey said.
"I just thank goodness that you are fine", she continued.
"Thank you girl", I sighed.
"Girl don't you think that he cares about you more than you think? I mean dismissing the meeting for your sake wasn't just Kaiden's doing", Stacey said.
"That is how he is with all his other mistresses out there", I replied rolling my eyes.
"Which do you know of?" She asked leaving me in silence. There was ultimate silence in the room as Stacey looked straight up at me but I avoided her eyes.
"Girl you're taking this too far. We should be talking about these stuff", I said breaking the silence and waving off the conversation because it was becoming a little too awkward.
"Ok, if you say so", Stacey replied.
"So what is this plan of snicking into Kingston Mansion to get your stuff. Can't you just go and ask him for them instead.
I mean, he is your husband, is he not?", Stacey said still trying to fold all the clothes we bought for me into her drawer.
"You should know Kaiden by now, he won't let me. He will just trap me inside there instead and never let me out", I replied.
"Where is your ring and why don't you wear it?", Stacey asked an unexpected question out of the blue.
"And besides I have been in there a few times so they will let me in", I said trying to avoid the question. Stacey raised her left eyebrow at me, pouting her mouth.
"Don't you raise your eyebrow at me. What am I supposed to do? Hey everyone, I am married to Kaiden Kross, is that it?", I said very pissed.
"Why doesn't he want to show you off?", Stacey asked ignorantly.
"You know who Kaiden is and he won't want to settle with me either. I know I deserve better men but I just happen to be unlucky", I said with my face down and my cheeks puffed up in tears.
"I know how you feel. So let's figure out how to get your stuff", Stacey said placing her hands on my shoulder, trying to cheer me up.
"Operation Kingston Mansion is a go!", I exclaimed and my mood lightened up.
"So here is the plan. Tomorrow Kaiden with be having a meeting till midnight and I will go in as usual because the butlers know me by now. But I will have to pick up a few clothes and my work stuff so they won't suspect. And you will be on standby for when I get out, ok", I stated the plan.
"It's that simple? I thought it was a siege plan", Stacey said sarcastically.
"But you know what I mean tho", I said and we laughed it off.

"I am sorry Missy, you can't come in today", the senior butler said as I stood at the door of the Kingston Mansion.
"Like I said, Mr Kross said I should come into the house and wait for his arrival", I said still trying to convince to butler to let me in.
"Yes ma'am but not today. I will tell Mr Kross just that", the butler still insisted.
"Ok fine. Let me call Mr Kross and tell him that his butler won't let me in", I said fiddling with my phone just to convince me to let me in. Goodness knows that I don't even have Kaiden's phone number to begin with. He doesn't accept calls except it is very urgent.
"No ma'am.....you can come in, but go straight up to Mr Kross' part of the mansion", he heaved a sign and said. Telling me to stay clear from every other part of the mansion.
"I just wish Mr Kross was here", he whispered under his breath and I heard it. He was still shocked about my arrival to the mansion, I wonder what has gotten to him.
It didn't take long for me to get to Kaiden's side of the mansion and I started looking for my stuffs, I was very convinced that my stuffs were there but I don't know where they were.
Kaiden's side of the mansion is huge but I have only been to the part where he stays most of the time. Unfortunately for me, my stuffs were not there. There are other rooms in his side so I will have to check there.
I came across a locked room, I giggled the lock so hard with the hair pin I took with me but I couldn't get it to open. Something tells me that my stuffs are inside. Suddenly I felt a firm and muscular grip on my hand and it was Kaiden.
"How did you...."
"You are on camera", Kaiden said pointing at a CCTV camera at the end of the hall and one small one on the door, it actually looked like a see through hole but it wasn't. He also showed me his cellphone that had the video covering of me trying to break into the room.
"What are you doing here?", he asked whispering loudly.
"You cleared everything from my house without asking me, now you are asking me what I am doing here?", I said releasing myself off his grip.
"If you need your stuffs, just say it", he said pulling me to the room next to the one I tried breaking into.
That room had my suitcase of clothes, my files and documents including my shoes and bags neatly arranged. That room also has additional clothes, shoes and bags in it, it wasn't like other black and white rooms on Kaiden's part of the mansion. It was like a whole new world and I guess it was mine, the one I tried running from.
"Get the stuffs you can and get out of here. You can go back to your house if you want to", he said with haste grinding his teeth inside his mouth as usual.
"What do you ever want from me? One minute you tell me come to the Kingston Mansion and the next you are driving me away with haste", I said getting parking as many stuffs as possible.
He didn't reply.
I got the stuffs that I needed and he led me out downstairs.
On our way out of the door, we bumped into a lady that seems to be in her late 50s. She had a black walking stick like the ones rich men who smoke wood pipes in black movies using have. She gave me a very piercing stern look which made me shiver.
"Gil, come help the Missy out", Kaiden beckoned on the Chief butler to come take me out.
I watched as this lady caress Kaiden's cheeks with her hands as I walked through the door.
Kaiden seems to chase me out of the very house he threatens me to live in. I am not surprised though because it is Kaiden Kross and he can do what he wants.
I still feel curious about that lady and why she gave me that look earlier.
Who is this lady and what does she want with Kaiden?
