Aria is still laying on my chest, my hand on her waist, when Wren's voice comes through the wall.
I sit up immediately.
"Did she just…" Aria starts.
"Yeah," I say. “You don’t worry, I’ll go.”
She wants to protest, but I instinctively cup her face and plant a soft kiss on her lips. “Stay. I’ll be right back.”
I get dressed and I go to Wren's room and I knock twice and she says come in immediately, which means she's definitely been awake. She's sitting cross-legged on her bed, her weird seer stillness on her, looking at me like she expected me.
"Okay, first of all, you can’t be eavesdropping.” I say, trying as much as possible to keep a straight face. If she had been listening in, then she probably heard everything Aria and I just did. What the f**k?
