He's looking at me like he's never seen me before.
That's the first thing I notice when I turn from the pack doctor. Kael is standing in the corridor entrance and his face is doing something I've never seen from him. His cold Alpha face has completely disappeared and it's almost like the frustration that's always in his eyes vanished. His eyes are so open and completely unguarded.
The pack doctor is still talking to me but I've lost every bit of it because Kael’s eyes have just… trapped me. I'm lost in them. God… he's beautiful.
I know I said I'm not going to do this to myself anymore but standing here, with him only a few feet away, that promise is already falling apart.
