I don't think. That's the problem, or maybe the thing that saves me. My brain shuts off and my body just moves. I'm running through the compound before he even finishes speaking. My heart’s already racing really hard. For f**k’s sake, why am I even bothered? Didn’t he reject me, strip me of my wolf, and banish me? Why the f**k do I care.
But even with all of that? A part of me just won’t stop catastrophizing about what I'm going to find. I saw what happened to his guard, and I was really hoping that he had gotten back to Moonridge.
