I move closer as the crowd at the border thins out. I kneel beside the dead warrior and I see the wound even more clearly. Every Alpha knows what a rogue kill looks like, it’s messy, frenzied, and often driven by hunger or rage. But this… this looks surgical. It was definitely done by someone who wanted it to look like an animal attack but actually had control the entire time.
I’m guessing they were ambushed. Whoever did this waited for them, and attacked them when they didn’t expect it.
