Into the Woods

Great, I’ve just been kidnapped by my professor. Right after getting proposed by my boyfriend. What is going on, my life sucks so much right now. It’s been probably around 15 minutes since he forced me into the car. I pushed my head up from the back seat and noticed Damen driving in a secluded forest.

“Where are you taking me?” I screamed out. “Take me back!”

“Oh, for the love of god, will you keep it down. I need to think.”

“What are you planning on doing with me?”  I looked into the rear-view mirror and saw his eyes bore into mine. “ugh! Fine!” I groaned out while thrashing my face into the seat. I heard a chuckle escape Damen and I groaned again. Eventually my eyes started to feel heavy.

“Keira, wake up.” I heard someone whisper their breath tickling my ear. I snuggled more into a warm chest and threw my hand and leg around it.

“Not yet… please,” I mumbled. Laughter filled the room. I felt warm hands moving up and down my back. This has never happened before. Bryan has never tried to wake me up like this. Now that I think about it, it doesn’t even sound like Bryan. My eyes flew wide open as I jumped out of the bed. I saw Damen laying down on his side observing me. He gave me the most beautiful smile that could blind me. I was too close to him. I moved back and felt my body falling off the edge of the bed. I closed my eyes shut but pain never came. I opened one eye and saw Damen smirking at me. That’s when I noticed he was holding onto my waist keeping me from falling. In an instant I felt my cheeks flushing. I pushed at his chest while reaching the floor with my feet. Once he released me, I took a run for the door. Once out of the bedroom I noticed we were in a cute cottage. The entrance was so close. I threw the door open. All hope in me was gone in an instant. I felt dread overwhelming me.

The cottage was in the middle of nowhere. All I could see were boundless immense elevated trees. The sun was out so I must have been knocked out since he kidnapped me yesterday. I don’t see a way of escaping from him however I noticed Damen hasn’t left the room yet. f**k it, maybe he’s slow, I could probably outrun him until I find a road. Feeling motivated I ran into the woods. There’s no sign of Damen. Maybe I lost him, he’ll never find me now.

“This isn’t so bad. Look at me running through the woods. I’m a bad ass.” I laughed to myself.

This is bad. It’s been over an hour in the woods and there’s no road to be seen. I tried running again but my feet are starting to ache and I’m staring to get cramps in my legs. Before I noticed it, my bare foot tripped on a twig leading me to fall on the ground. I tried picking myself up, but my dress was stuck on something. I tried again with more force and then I heard my dress rip. Picking myself up from the floor, I looked down at what’s left of my red skintight dress.

“f**k me!” I yelled out into the forest. “Why is this happening to me!”  I kicked the tree near me with all the force I had. “f**k, f**k, fuck.” I cried out while holding my foot. “This day just keeps getting better and better.” I groaned out. I tired running again but my foot was holding me back from full speed.

The sun was starting to set and still no sign of a road. I’m starving, thirsty, dirty, alone, and losing hope. I fall to my knees and start bawling my eyes out.

I began moving around and feeling what felt like dirt. I don’t remember my bed sheets feeling like this. Then I remembered everything that’s happened up until this point. I snapped my eyes open. s**t. Its dark. I don’t know how much time I lost. I can’t believe I fell asleep out here without even realizing it. I stood up dusted myself off before continuing. I can’t see s**t. I am literally hitting a tree every 5 seconds.

It felt like hours have passed by and no progress. That’s when I hear a twig break near me. I turned towards the noise.

“Who’s there?” I spoke out. “Please help me. Someone kidnapped me and I can’t find my way back.”

I heard a footstep behind me. I turned around and saw a very large man with long prickly grey hair and a red face holding onto a large knife.

“Who are you?” I asked him. He took a step near me. That’s when I noticed his eyes were pitch black like a demon’s.

He gave me a creepy grin. “Aren’t you a beauty. I bet you’re delicious.” I noticed his teeth were all pointy. I took a few steps back.

“I’m here with someone. He won’t be very happy if you are here when he gets back. He will be here any second.” f**k my life. First, I get kidnapped then on the process of escaping this creep comes along.

“Not soon enough.” He smiles at me while liking his bottom lip.

“Please leave me alone.” I begged him.

“No can do sweety. You see it’s been a while since I’ve eaten. I’m dying to take a bite; it’s been so long since anyone has entered this forest.”  His arms started to shake as he reached for me.

“You have claws too. What are you?” I cried out as I took more steps back.

“Atahsaia.” He said before lunging at me.
