POV: Alex "This is why I do what I do," I say as I sit in my rental chair and lift my phone to get a better angle. I'm filming a white woman holding a crying biracial child--I think--as she yells at Joseph. He yells back. I bite my bottom lip as a smile tugs at my lips. "This sh*t is too good," I say as I watch Joseph. He kisses the little boy's hand. The little boy reaches out to him. The white woman takes a few steps back. She turns to her left, shielding the boy away from Joseph. I use my index finger and thumb to widen the view on my phone to focus on Joseph. For a second or so, I feel bad for him. He looks miserable. Maybe a little scared too. Okay, she's white. Joseph's white. The boy's biracial--or looks that way. Is that his son? Did they adopt? Is that his girl?
