Chapter 5 - Hunt for the File
With Gokhale's arrest, the case was only half solved. The file itself was still missing.
Aarav and Rina raided Gokhale's office, home, and even his farmhouse, but found nothing suspicious.
Then Aarav noticed something strange-a painting slightly crooked in Gokhale's living room. He removed it and found a small safe behind the wall.
The code was simple:
GOKHALE97
Inside it was a sealed envelope labeled 47B.
The file was safe.
But Aarav also found something unexpected -a letter addressed to Devraj Mehta detailing police strategies, witness names, and future plans. Gokhale had been feeding Mehta information for years.
This was enough evidence to arrest the businessman.
Chapter 6 - The Final Confrontation
Aarav led the operation to capture Mehta at his luxury villa. The criminal tried to escape through the back exit, but officers surrounded the property.
Mehta glared at Aarav. "You think catching me will change anything? People like Gokhale exist everywhere."
Aarav replied quietly, "Maybe. But people like us do too."
Mehta was handcuffed and taken away. The The media exploded with the story. A corrupt commissioner, a powerful criminal, and the detective who brought them down.
Chapter 7 - The Truth Returns
Back at the bureau, Aarav placed File 47 B on his desk. Rina joined him with a smile.
"You did it, sir."
"We did it," Aarav corrected her.
He looked at the restored file and thought about how close injustice came to winning.
But truth had found its way back-through intuition, teamwork, and courage.
Aarav locked the file in the evidence cabinet again, this time with a new security system. A system that no corrupt hand could manipulate.
As he turned off the office lights, he whispered to himself:
"Crimes may hide in shadows... but justice always walks with a torch
