Noah squinted suspiciously as his father and Asher approached with blindfolds in hand. "Wait, what's going on?" he demanded, taking a cautious step back.
Richard exchanged a knowing glance with Asher before replying with exaggerated innocence, "Oh, just a little surprise for you and Alison!"
"No surprises involving water, please," Noah half-joked, eyeing the nearby ocean warily.
Alison, sensing Noah's apprehension, tried to stifle a giggle. "I'm game for surprises," she said cheerfully, though curiosity danced in her eyes.
