Chloe's eyes twitched in annoyance as Alaric continued to flip through the pages of the book he was reading without stopping to read and study them. She slapped her book close and glared at Alaric. "What are you doing?" She questioned, her tone cold and imposing. Gone was the timid energy around her; her present appearance startled Alaric as it was a contrast to the shy person he had met previously. "Huh? I'm reading, of course," he replied with a confused expression, and Chloe glared even more. "You don't just flip through a book and consider it reading! How can you even assimilate anything you read like that?" She asked suspiciously, and Alaric sighed. "I remember everything my eyes see at a glance; I don't need to spend extra time reading it word for word," he explained. "Oh, really?
