I was unsure of how long I spent downstairs, but I was sure that it was much longer than necessary. It wasn’t for any particular reason either, other than to give myself the certainty that Hera would be asleep by the time that I went upstairs to sleep. That way, I wouldn’t need to face her after the way that I had treated her, although I could only hope that by some miracle, she wouldn’t hold it against me in the morning.
Besides, it wasn’t like what I had done was actually that bad. The only problem about it, might have been the fact that I sent her to the bedroom like some child, while I stayed down here. But I told myself that there was no point in being upset about it now. I had done what I had done and I was going to need to deal with the consequences thereof.
