To say that I simply fell asleep after our lovely discussion, would have been an outright lie. As much as I hated to admit it, I didn’t fair any better than I had been when he had been downstairs after exiling me upstairs. The way that he behaved, coupled with the fact that I had absolutely no one here to talk to, made me wish that I was anywhere but here. I knew that I needed to be careful what I wished for, but by the time that I finally fell asleep, I had absolutely no doubt in my mind that I would be asking Marcel when we were going to return to the castle. He was the one who felt like I constantly needed to be reminded of the fact that his mother posed a threat to my life. I found that it would only be fitting for me to make sure that I was no longer in a position for her to do so.
