~April 13~Bee hated continuing to lie to her aunt, but she didn’t think it would be wise to let Lady Blakemore know that she, as well as Bel, would be attending the wedding ball. Their aunt hadn’t said what she was going to do about them both being there. In fact, she hadn’t spoken to either of them very much at all since she’d discovered Bee’s presence. “Let’s give her some time to work it out,” Bee had said when Bel had proposed going and speaking with her. Bel was feeling as bad as her sister about the whole thing, but Bee thought it best to leave their aunt alone for a bit—and that included not informing her about their plans for the ball.
