I knew when I got home my mother would be mad at me for leaving earlier. I was so thrilled that Aspen had kissed me. I felt his need for me. It reassured me that I was making the right decision being with my mate. He loved me and wanted me just as badly as I felt for him.

I had made it back to the castle and was hesitant to enter. I walked around the front for a minute. I wasn’t expecting anyone else to be outside. I heard someone clear their throat. I turned and came face to face with the son of Dark Blood clan leaders. I had seen him before but didn’t remember his name. He was handsome for a vampire. Sandy blond hair cut to his ears but was styled into spikes. His eyes were an icy blue. That made him look emotionless all the time. He was dressed in a blue polo shirt and dark brown slacks. He was much taller than me but most everyone was.

“It’s Eric.” He said with a straight face.

“I know that. What are you doing outside?” I honestly didn’t remember his name but I was in no way going to tell him that.

“I was trying to clear my head. I never wanted to come here, let alone be forced to marry you if you pick me.” I was completely shocked that he had just said that to me. My mouth was wide open and my eyes looked like they were going bug out of my head.

“Sorry, I know I shouldn’t have said that to you but I have a mate but my parents don’t know I found my mate and I would like a chance to be with her.” He said, trying to explain.

“It's okay I found my mate too and I don't want any of you guys. My parents can't know I found my mate either.” I didn’t know why but I felt like I could trust him. He seemed relieved with my response. He let out a breath that I didn't know he was holding.

“So if you have a mate and can’t tell your parents that means you are in the same situation as me. My mate is a witch. She practices healing and light magic. My parents don’t want me with anyone but a vampire.” I knew how he felt.

“My mate is a werewolf. He is from the pack that neighbors the mountains. We just found each other yesterday. My parents would lock me up before they let me be with him.” I sadly confessed. He was the only person that would not judge me. It felt so good to tell someone.

“Wow, a werewolf and a vampire mated together. Hey look I will help you in any way I can. If you need a friend and pretend to date I am your guy. I know we don’t know each other too well but it looks like we only have each other to talk to.” he chuckled after his reply. I knew he was right.

“Fine, will you walk in with me and help me to my room? You can come and hang out in my room. It gets your parents off your back but it will do the same with mine. You can talk to your mate in my room. It's soundproof and explains that I will help you guys and I will do the same with my mate.” I wouldn’t do this without my mate knowing that nothing was going on with Eric and myself.

Eric nodded in agreement and held out his arm so we could walk in together and sell it. I took his arm and smiled as we walked in the house. I was right, my mother was waiting in the lounge for me to come home. My mothers eye got really wide when she saw me walk in with me on Eric's arm. She didn’t say anything to me. We turned and went upstairs to my room. I knew she was going to tell my father that I was with Eric. The whole clan would know by the end of the night.

I grabbed my phone and dialed Aspen. It rang a few times before he answered it. “Hey Beautiful, are you okay?” He asked with worry in his voice.

“I am fine but I have something to tell you.” Before he could say anything else I spoke again. “I have another vampire that is willing to help us in keeping us a secret until we are ready to tell everyone. Before you ask anything, his name is Eric is a son of Dark Blood. He is mated to a witch.” I explained really quickly so he wouldn’t think I was trying to be with Eric.

“Are you sure he just wants to help and he is not trying to get close to you?” He asked protectively.

“Yes I am sure he is here right now willing to talk to you.” I click the video chat button on my phone so the call would turn into a video chat. His handsome face came on the screen and I was so happy to see him. I waved Eric over to join the chat so Aspen could see him.

“Hi I am Eric.” Eric said, waving his hand.

“Hi Aspen. So you really want to help Aura be with a werewolf.” Aspen said with a straight face.

“Look I know how hard it is to be mated with someone other than a vampire. I love my mate and she is a witch. You are a werewolf and Aura is a vampire. I see you guys as mates. I don’t want to keep you guys apart like everyone else will. I will help in any way I can. I know werewolves and witches are friends and often work together. Would you be willing to help me and my mate be together as well.” Eric said

“Yes I will help any way I can as long as I get more time with Aura. I would do anything for her. Please help her with her decision she has to make to make her parents happy.” Aspen said to Eric. I was happy they weren’t trying to show who was more domante.

“I am going to choose Eric at my birthday party but we are going to ask to get to know each other for a period of time and during that time we can go on a vatiction with all four of us. Before that Eric will escort me to you and pick me up after the dates we have so that way it doesn't look bad for me to leave.” I explained the plan to him so he would be more comfortable. Aspen agreed in excitement with the plan. So did Eric.

“Look, we have to go to call Eric’s mate and get her on board with the plan. I will text you her information so you can become friends like me and Eric. I will talk to you tomorrow. I Love you Bye.” I said the three words without even thinking about it. I knew how I felt but it was too soon to say it. I quickly ended the chat before he could say anything back.
