Crescent Moon Club

Aspen It was 11 pm when I pulled into the parking lot of the club. The club from the outside looked basic with black paint on the walls has well as silver trimming along the doors and rooftop. The doors were blacked out and there were no windows. No one could see in and no one could see out. The big neon sign that was yellow above the awning of the door read Crescent moon. There were no street lights no parking lights in the parking lot as you got closer to the corner it was pitched dark. The only light was coming from the neon sign. I could hear the House music playing as I got out of my car. I was looking forward to getting a drink and relaxing and maybe dance a little bit. The parking lot was full of cars and trucks most of which I recognized and it was not a surprise that the club was always filled on the weekends. This was the only club we were allowed to go to even though there was another club nearby. It was run by vampires, so we never got to go to it because vampires and wolves live separate lives, and never crossed but I always wondered what that club was like. As I walked in the club, I got a strong scent of vanilla almond. It was like nothing I had ever smelled be-for. It was strong, inviting yet elegant. My wolf Jack was going absolutely crazy in my head. I was pulled to the scent like nothing I had ever felt before I needed to find the owner of the scent. As I scanned the room, I nodded at the wolves that spotted me and bowed to me. It was a sign of respect. I hadn’t spotted the owner of the scent yet and I needed to get control of myself and calm down. My wolf was about to come forward and was pressing to come forward, so I made my way through the crowd to the bar. She wolves of all shapes and sizes were sitting along the bar, smiling and politely, nodding as I walked up to the bar, I could tell a lot of them were trying to be picked up, but none of them peaked my interest. The male behind the bar bowed his head “ your highness what can I get for you?” I hated formalities and titles that were always used, but my parents always told me no matter what I had to have my people respect me. I responded back with a smile “ whiskey sour thanks.” a few moments later, he was back with my drink as I took my first sip I felt the cool liquid go down my throat. It was an instant relief. As I turned around and scanned the room to continue my search, my tension was drawn to a redheaded female dancing in the middle of the dance floor. She looks beautiful and pale to the rest of us I couldn’t take my eyes off her. I was being pulled to her. She was laughing with a blonde haired girl that was taller than her. All I wanted to do, was wrap her up and claim her at that moment, I knew she was the one I was looking for. I didn’t recognize her and hadn’t seen her at any of my mother’s parties so I knew either she was from another pack that had never attended the parties or she was not of my kind. I knew the guys were not going to be here for about another hour. So I was going to spend this time just watching her until I could muster up the courage to actually talk to her. . . . . Aura Living in the middle of the mountains, we have no use for cars because there are no roads. Which comes in handy being a vampire we have speed, strength, heightened smell, heightened hearing, and can jump higher than most. Our strength can match with werewolves which comes in handy, and we are much faster than wolves. I’ve never had to come into combat with them. My father always tells me that if it ever comes down to it and you come up against them, use your strength and your speed to defend yourself against them. We had to run up the mountain to get to the club. It took just under two minutes as Raven and I made it to the parking lot. My anxiety went through the roof. We were not supposed to be here it was forbidden and if my parents find out, I would be in so much trouble that I wouldn’t be allowed out of the castle for the rest of my life. Raven kept telling me to relax. She grabbed my hand and pulled me along to the front door. I was surprised to not see a bouncer outside to control who was allowed in. We had gotten there five minutes till 11 and the music was loud and the atmosphere was inviting and exciting. We made our way through the crowd of people to the dance floor. About six minutes later I caught a smell of cedar and pine. It was calming, it felt like home. I was being pulled to the smell, but I resisted it and kept dancing and laughing with Raven. After about five minutes, I felt like I was being watched at one point, so I started looking around to see if I could spot anyone eyeing us. I came eye to eye with a man with golden eyes, tanned skin, lean fit body, wavy shoulder length hair. He was beyond handsome. My curiosity was getting the better of me, and I wanted to know why he was watching me and why I felt so connected to him. I looked at Raven and smiled. Waving her closer to me so she could hear me over the loud music I shouted “ I am going to go find the bathroom be back in a few.” She smiled and waved as she went back to dancing. I made my way through the crowd again but this time I was heading to the bar where the strange guy was standing against it. As I came up beside him, the scent of cedar and pine was so strong. I knew it was coming from him. I smiled, and then looked at the bartender. Clearing my throat to get his attention I asked “ where is your bathroom?” he didn’t even look up at me to respond. “ Around the corner on the left.” I pushed myself off the bar and made my way to the bathroom. As I pushed through the crowd of people, I noticed the strange handsome man was following a few steps behind as I put my left hand on the women’s bathroom door, which was marked with silver lettering. I felt a pull on my right hand, followed by sparks and electricity, traveling up my arm. My eyes shot open and felt like they were going to pop out of my head. I knew what that feeling meant to vampires this person was my mate . Vampire mate for life we don’t get second chance mates and we can’t reject them. I turned around to face this man and noticed by the blood flow in his neck that he was a wolf he was not a vampire. I ripped my hand away from him, and started walking away with fear and anxiety plastered on my face.I needed to know what was going on. I had so many questions, but no answers. I needed air as I pushed my way to front door of the club to get out side.
