Aspen
I was completely outraged. I couldn’t believe how everyone was acting. It was not like we never had a witch on pack lands. We had other covens that came on pack lands all the time. They help with spells to protect the pack. One was on the counsel my father put together for the welfare of both groups.
I grabbed her hand and continued to the pack house. I noticed Forest and Castor in the corner by the front door. As I walked by them I noticed I had a link request comes through.
“What is it?” I asked through the link knowing it was one of the guys.
“Why are you with a witch?” Came Castors voice in my head. I was getting mad at this point.
“She is my guest. I have been spending time with her the last few days. She is a friend.” I said back as calmly as possible.
“Would you two please stop talking behind my back like I can’t hear you. As a great white witch I can hear everyone mind.” Mea interrupted but it was like she was part of the link. My eyes were wide and I was staring at her. Forest and Castor came over.
“How did you do that? No can get into a link without being invited and no witch I know can link.” Forest said bluntly like he was offended by her.
“Why don’t you bring you Alpha in on this conversation as well maybe you can learn something from a witch.” Mea said uninterested in both of them. I was amazed at how well she handled herself in a situation like this. I linked my father.
“Hey Dad are you busy?”
“No son I am available.” He linked back.
“Would you like come join me and the guys and Mea for lunch we are currently having a conversation that we think you would be interested in joining.” I linked back knowing my father was dying to meet Mea.
“On my way down.” He replied and cut the link.
I turned to the rest of the group. “ He is on his way down. Why don’t we get lunch and sit and wait for him.” Mea smiled at me and nodded. We moved to the table with all the food on it a loaded up plates and found a table in the corner of the room away from everyone and sat down. Before we could start eating my father made his way over to the table.
“Hello I am king Blade.” He said with his hand stretched out.
Mea stood up and politely bowed her head and shook his hand. “Hi I am Mea Bennett of the Salem Bennett coven. I am the Great White Witch.” Mea introduced herself.
My father seemed in awe of her. She sat back down in her chair next to me.
“Would you like to join us?” Mea asked my father. He nodded and walked over to get some food before making his way back and taking the seat across the table from me.
“The conversation we were having was about great witches, light or dark can read minds including links and we don’t have to be invited to invade a mind.” Mea started the conversation. She was not shy about talking about witches.
“What do you mean by can read minds even links?” My father asked.
“Just like I said a great witch can read a persons mind including their links because that is a part of their mind that they are using. Like when Aspen linked you to come down and join the conversation I could hear everything he said and you said sir.” Mea told him bluntly.
“So you are saying witches can hear us talking when we are in wolf form and on the battlefield.” Castor said slapping the table.
“No it can only be a great Witch there is only two of us alive myself a white witch and Natalia she is the great dark witch. Also known as the black witch. She would use it for her own purposes. I use it to help situations I am in.” She explained calmly.
“So what you are saying is that there is you and an another witch that can invade anyone’s mind at anytime.” Castor said rather angrily.
“Well yes that’s what I am saying. See us witches believe in the Moon Goddess as well and she is the one to give the power and pick the people that are the great witches. We are blessed with her power on full moons. We are all children of the same Goddess.” She explained.
Castor was now very angry. His face was red. His veins were throbbing in his neck. “NO THIS CANNOT BE TRUE. WHY WOULD THEY SHARE THE SAME GODDESS AS US?” He yelled while throwing his chair at the wall. I jumped up and got into my fighting position hoping that he wouldn’t attack Mea.
Mea stood up and swiped her hands in the air the chair came back to the table without any touching it. She looked Castor in the eyes. No fear showed in her eyes only power and strength and courage. This woman was amazing.
Castor sat back down. My father’s eyes looked like they were going pop out of his head. “How can we protect ourselves from mind reading and other witchcraft.” My father finally said.
“Well there are spells for protection against witchcraft spells and as for the mind reading there are stones that you can were to block a witch from being able to read your mind.” Mea replied.
“So we can protect ourselves from people like you.” Forest said brutally.
“From us , so you think I am a threat to you.” Mea said more annoyed.
“We yes you are you can kill a werewolf without touching them. We have never been able to kill a witch. There powers make it impossible. The witch’s we do have are only low level ones so there powers have limits.” Forest shared.
“ You are an i***t you know that. I would have helped you free of charge. But since you only seem to want to insult my people and me I will take my leave and wish you the best of luck the next time a witch attacks you.” Mea said standing up and taking her leave from here. She opened a portal in the dining room and walked through it. I was beyond angry with my friends.
“How could you guy treat her like that? She was my guest? Have you all lost your minds?” I asked really loud but not loud enough that I was yelling.
No one said a word to me. They were all in shock that Mea didn’t see them as a threat. Why would she? She had more powers and abilities than all of us combined. I felt so bad that she was treated like that by my pack but mostly because it was the people that I was closest to. They were rude to her. I had never seen them treat anyone like they did her not even rival packs.
