On Sunday, Ciara announced that she wanted to have “a few friends” over for her birthday on Saturday, despite her actual birthday being two days earlier.
Kyle’s first reaction was no. He didn’t like the idea of having the house full of people. It didn’t seem right somehow.
Then he thought, why not? It was Ciara’s 18th, and she deserved a bit of happiness. So did he, as a matter of fact. She had explicitly said that he could ask some of his friends over too. It might be the best thing that had happened to them in almost a month.
Cassie would not agree, of course, but Cassie was in London and would never have to know.
