CHAPTER 10
The week went by quietly. Ciara seemed quite pleased with her new job and more or less forgot about her quarrel with Kyle. She was working at the till and learning all the different meal options. She liked her workmates too. All in all, it all sounded boring to Kyle, but at least it was extra money for them.
He dropped her into work on Friday evening for five o’clock. While he was at Kieran’s, he went in and got himself a burger and chips. He started the rather slow drive home, making his way out of the rush-hour town centre as quick as he could.
He pulled into the driveway about 20 minutes later. The lights were on in the hall, he noticed when he was walking towards the door. They must have left them on when they were leaving.
