James, Sarah and Nathan pushed further into the tunnel, close air smelling of damp earth. The dread of Lina’s revelation was hanging over them like a storm cloud. There was someone inside the government who was supporting Kade. That changed everything. Nathan exhaled sharply. “A government traitor? Now we know why we’ve been one step behind the whole time.” Sarah’s hand clenched her gun. “Whoever it is, they have the means to kill us dead.” James sat in silence, his mind whirling. This wasn’t just about Kade anymore it was bigger. More dangerous. And the enemy they were facing had power in spaces they could not access. The tunnel dipped downward, the air getting colder.
