Chapter 19 The Fall of Ghavan One morning, a week after his encounter with Gamayun, Antomír worked alongside the other young men at the shipyard. Shipwright Siloán had decided that this year, he would make three new “branches” for the village. That was the humorous name he gave to the small one-man boats carved out of ash. Ghavan Town had at least twenty branches, but several of them were crumbling at the edges, and Siloán was restless for spring work after the winter, short though it was.
