Pasf Memories

Harleen's voice was laced with concern as she spoke to Roshni. "You've been here for three days, and you've been discharged. It's time for me to take you home." Roshni's eyes narrowed slightly. "Did Mahir come to visit me?" Harleen's expression turned sympathetic. "No, he didn't. Not even once. I don't think he's serious about your marriage." Roshni's face fell, but she quickly regained her composure. "There must be a reason," she said, her voice firm. Harleen nodded. "Anyway, let's go. I'll take you home. And you know what tomorrow is, don't you?" Roshni's eyes clouded over, and she whispered, "How could I forget? It's the anniversary of the car accident that took Jasmine's life. Nine years ago, tomorrow." Roshni's voice was barely above a whisper as she continued. "I still remember that day like it was yesterday. The sound of screeching tires, the smell of smoke and blood... it's etched into my memory forever." Harleen's expression turned somber, and she put a comforting arm around Roshni's shoulders. "I'm so sorry, Roshni. I know how much Jasmine meant to you." As they walked out of the hospital, Roshni couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness wash over her. She had thought that she had moved on from the tragedy of Jasmine's death, but the pain still lingered, just below the surface. She took a deep breath, trying to shake off the feeling of melancholy. She knew that she had to be strong, for herself and for those around her. As they reached Harleen's car, Roshni hesitated for a moment before getting in. She looked back at the hospital, wondering if Mahir was still inside, wondering if he was thinking of her. She sighed, feeling a pang of disappointment. Why hadn't he come to visit her? Didn't he care about her at all? Harleen noticed Roshni's distant expression and asked, "Hey, are you okay? You seem a little distracted." Roshni forced a smile onto her face. "I'm fine, Harleen. Just a little tired, that's all." Tears pricked at the corners of Roshni's eyes, and Harleen's eyes welled up with tears as well. After a moment, Harleen stood up, helping Roshni to her feet. "Let's go home," she said gently. As they walked out of the hospital, Roshni felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was finally going home, and she could start the process of healing and moving on. Meanwhile, Ayan was talking to Vivan. "I haven't visited Roshni in three days," he said, his voice laced with guilt. Vivan's expression turned serious. "You should go tomorrow. She was discharged today, and Harleen took her home." Ayan's eyes narrowed. "What did she say?" Vivan shrugged. "Nothing, but when she asks you to marry her, what will you say?" Ayan's face contorted in confusion. "What are you talking about? Roshni would never ask me to marry her." Vivan raised an eyebrow. "Don't be so sure, Ayan. Roshni cares deeply for you, and she may just surprise you with a proposal." Ayan's eyes widened in shock. "A proposal? From Roshni? That's impossible." Vivan's expression turned serious. "Don't underestimate Roshni, Ayan. She's a strong and determined woman, and she'll stop at nothing to get what she wants." Ayan's face fell, and he felt a wave of anxiety wash over him. What would he do if Roshni really did propose to him? He didn't know if he was ready for marriage, and he certainly didn't know if he was ready to marry Roshni. As Ayan stood there, lost in thought, Vivan's voice cut through his reverie. "Ayan, you need to be honest with Roshni. You need to tell her how you feel." Ayan's eyes snapped back into focus, and he nodded. "You're right, Vivan. I'll talk to her tomorrow." Ayan's face set in determination. "I'm marrying her next week. Her parents will be there too." Vivan raised an eyebrow. "How will you convince her parents? They're the CEOs of L.H. Star, and they hate your family." Ayan's expression turned cold. "I joined L.H. Star later, and they know my parents. But I won't need to convince them. I have a plan." Vivan's eyes widened in surprise, but Ayan just turned and walked away, leaving him to wonder what had just happened. Vivan's mind was racing with questions. What plan could Ayan possibly have to convince Roshni's parents to agree to the marriage? And why was Ayan so determined to marry Roshni in the first place? As Vivan stood there, trying to make sense of the conversation, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. Ayan's behavior had been strange lately, and Vivan couldn't help but wonder if there was more to the story than Ayan was letting on. Meanwhile, Ayan was walking back to his office, his mind focused on the task at hand. He had a lot to do before the wedding, and he was determined to make sure everything went smoothly. As he sat down at his desk, he pulled out his phone and dialed a number. "It's me," he said, his voice low and serious. "I need you to do something for me. Can you hack into L.H. Star's system and get me some information?" There was a pause on the other end of the line, and then a voice replied, "What kind of information do you need?" Ayan's expression turned cold. "I need to know everything about Roshni's parents. Their secrets, their weaknesses, everything." The voice on the other end of the line hesitated, and then replied, "I'll see what I can do."
