As the doctor walked out of the ICU, a faint smile crossed his face. "Congratulations, it's a miracle. We had given up hope, but at the last moment, a miracle happened, and her life was saved." Ayan's face finally broke into a smile, a mix of relief and joy. The doctor continued, "Don't be too happy yet. Her life has been saved, but her illness is not cured. If she gets even a small scratch now, no one can save her."
Ayan's smile faltered, and he asked, "Can I meet her?" The doctor nodded, "Yes, go ahead." Ayan entered the room, and Roshni looked up at him, her eyes locking with his. Ayan walked up to her, sat down beside her, and asked, his voice laced with sadness, "Why did you do this? You knew you had hemophilia, and yet you...?"
Roshni's eyes filled with tears, and she whispered, "I had to save you, Ayan. I couldn't let Rocky hurt you." Ayan's face contorted in anguish, and he asked, "Why? Why did you have to put your life at risk for me?" Roshni's voice was barely audible, "Because I love you, Ayan. I couldn't bear the thought of losing you."
Ayan's eyes filled with tears, and he took Roshni's hand in his, his voice trembling with emotion. "I love you too, Roshni. But why did you have to be so reckless? You know how fragile your health is." Roshni's eyes locked onto Ayan's, and she whispered, "I'd do it all over again, Ayan. I'd risk my life a thousand times to save you."
Ayan's heart swelled with emotion, and he leaned forward, his lips brushing against Roshni's forehead. "I don't deserve you, Roshni," he whispered. "But I promise to take care of you, to protect you from harm. You'll never have to risk your life for me again."
Roshni's eyes filled with tears, and she smiled weakly. "I know, Ayan. I trust you." Ayan's heart overflowed with love and gratitude, and he held Roshni's hand tightly, his eyes never leaving hers.
Roshni shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "I didn't know what to do. You got hurt, and I couldn't bear it. I didn't know what to do, except be with you. Will you avoid me now? I can't live without you." Ayan's eyes welled up with tears as he replied, "No, I'll never do that." They hugged each other tightly, both of them crying.
After a while, Roshni pulled back and asked, "There's something I don't understand. Mahir, Rocky kept calling you Ayan. But your name is Mahir, isn't it?" Ayan hesitated before explaining, "I have two names. My dad named me Ayan, but after my parents' divorce, I lived with my mom. The court changed my name from Ayan to Mahir. I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier."
Ayan thought to himself, "Roshni, I'm sorry. Please forgive me. If I tell you the truth now, you won't understand, and neither will I." Roshni smiled and hugged him again. "It's okay, don't worry." Ayan stood up, saying, "You rest, I'll complete the formalities and come back. Your friend is also waiting outside." Roshni nodded, "Okay, send her in."
As Ayan turned to leave, Roshni called out, "Wait." Ayan turned back, wondering if Roshni had doubts about him. "What happened?" he asked. Roshni's eyes sparkled with tears as she asked, "Why did you do this?" Ayan's face contorted in confusion. "What did I do?"
Roshni's voice was barely above a whisper. "Why did you save me? Why did you risk your life for me?" Ayan's eyes filled with tears, and he smiled. "Because I love you, Roshni. I couldn't bear the thought of losing you." Roshni's face lit up with a weak smile, and she whispered, "I love you too, Ayan."
Ayan's heart swelled with emotion, and he leaned forward, his lips brushing against Roshni's forehead. "I'll always be there for you, Roshni. I'll always protect you." Roshni's eyes closed, and she smiled, feeling safe and loved.
As Ayan stood up to leave, Roshni called out again, "Ayan?" Ayan turned back, his eyes questioning. "Yes?" Roshni's voice was weak, but her eyes sparkled with determination. "I want to tell you something. Something important." Ayan's heart skipped a beat, and he leaned forward, his ears eager to hear what Roshni had to say.
