Chapter 1

Anabel wiped the mirror; she was glad the war was finally over; she could finally find peace and raise her boys. Heaven moved her and the twins to another realm, safe from Dremis and the darkness he wanted to plague her soul with. The Angels said she wouldn't remember what happened to her during her time helping them, either they forgot to wipe her memory, or they wanted her to remember just in case something like another war would happen, they didn't want to train another Angel Elite. She would get her chance again to prove to Heaven they didn't make a mistake on her when they chose her.                     Walking into the living room while she brushed her hair. Looking outside, a storm was coming; winter would be here soon too. She couldn't wait to see the snow, she wanted to show John and James how beautiful this place was.                     Anabel wanted Misty to come and hang out with her, but she was off somewhere learning more about her magical practices, and how to do things differently, so she didn't mess any of her spells up. The book she was required to do the quests for, the Angels took it and put it with Anabel's sword, both were kept in a secret location, only the Angels knew about.                     When the twins turned six months old, Michael stopped by for a visit. "How are you doing today Anabel?" he said walking towards her, she smiled when she saw him.                     "I am okay." she half-smiled at him. "The boys are growing so fast, and we haven't had any issues with Dremis or Hell, so I'm good."                      Michael shook his head, "that is why I am here, Dremis has been trying to locate you and the twins, and I fear he is getting close to finding you." he said lowering his head. "We may have to activate your contract so you can deal with him again," he said shaking his head.                     "What?" Anabel said shaking her head. "I don't want to," she said folding her arms across her chest.                     "Well it gets worse from there," he said walking towards the window. "He found the book we thought he wouldn't find," he said looking back at Anabel. "It's only a matter of time before he figures out how to find you."            “So what about my sons?” she said looking towards the bedroom where they slept. “I don’t want him getting anywhere near them.” She said walking towards the bedroom. “If you think he’s coming for me, you better get my sons to safety.” She said shaking her head.            “Wait, Anabel.” He said taking another step. “Right now you are okay, I just wanted you kept up to date, once Misty finishes what we have started with her, she will come back and join you here for added protection.” He said shaking his head. “I promise you, things will not get as bad as they did for you.” He disappeared after that.            Anabel wanted to check on her boys, they were safe in their beds; she walked back out to the living room. She wanted to take the boys somewhere safe, but she wasn’t sure where safe was. Anabel paced in front of the window waiting for the boys to wake up, James was the first one awake, and John continued to sleep.            Anabel picked James up, “shush it’s okay.” She said cuddling him. “I promise it’s okay.” She said walking into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle, and making it for him. “There’s your milk, shush.” She said rocking him back and forth.            James went back to sleep once he finished off the remaining milk in the bottle, Anabel laid him down in the playpen in the living room. Opening the patio door, she let the cool air come in; she sat down on the porch and watched James sleep.            A little while later John started to fuss, so Anabel fed him, he didn’t fall back asleep. Anabel put him on the floor so she could play with him a little before James woke up. Lying on the floor with John she thought about everything Michael said everything that she went through to get her to where she was today. She didn’t want to fight in another war; she just wanted to spend her time with her boys. “I hope mommy doesn’t have to leave you with someone else because Heaven needs me.” She said stroking John’s stomach.            Anabel wanted to see Misty, after the war ended the Angel took Misty one way while they took Anabel and the twins another. She wondered what she’d been doing all this time, she wanted to hang out and catch up but knew if she was brought there, there wasn’t going to be time to catch up, it’ll be just back to work for them.            A knock at the door startled her, she slowly got up and walked over. She wasn’t sure who was knocking, as no one knew she was there. Opening the door with caution, Samuel stood there. “Why didn’t you just come in, rather than knocking?” she asked him confused.            “Because I want you to feel like you have privacy here, I don’t want to just come into your home without being announced, no Angels should do that.” He said shaking his head. “Can I come in?”            “Sure.” She said allowing him to enter her home. She closed the door after that. “Michael was already here, he told me Dremis has the book and that he was searching for me.” She said picking John up off the floor and putting him with James.            “Michael was here?” he said sounding concerned. “Michael has been with Misty on her mission, he has not had time to come here.” He said shaking his head. “Are you sure it was him?”            “Well yeah, he appeared in the corner over by where John and James are.” She said pointing near the door. “I was surprised to see him; he sounded really scared and concerned.” She said sitting down on the floor. “What’s going on?”            Samuel took a step towards the boys, he looked down they were looking at him. “I’m not sure, but I would keep a close eye on them.” He said still looking at the twins. “I’ll have to go and talk to Michael to see why he would warn you about Dremis when we know nothing about him; last we’ve heard he was in his world.” He said shaking his head.            Anabel shook her head, “so what are you trying to say?” she said looking down at the boys. “Are they I danger now?” she said picking up James this time. “Please tell me we are safe?” she said kissing James.            “I don’t know Anabel, I will have to come back here and tell you what I find out.” He said walking towards the door. “I’ll be back as soon as I can, Michael is hard to reach right now, but I am sure he knows all about this, and there is nothing to worry about.” He said opening the door. “Please do not trust anyone, and please keep this door closed.” He said before he closed the door.            Anabel locked the door, so Dremis is up to something. She wanted Misty brought to her as soon as possible; she wanted to talk to her and make a plan. “Damn it why don’t they just bring Misty back?” she said looking down at James. “I feel like this isn’t going to end very well.” She said shaking her head.            “Are you sure about that?” Dremis said appearing in front of her, near John. “You see you are smarter than I give you credit for. Samuel knows it’s me, the pathetic thing about that Angel is, he doesn’t know what to do without Michael’s okay.” He said shaking his head, he looked down at John.            Anabel wanted to take a step, but she wasn’t sure what he would do. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” She said taking one step towards Dremis.            Dremis bent down to pick up John, “now Ms. Knight what are you going to do?” he said looking down at John. “I can take him from you, and come back for the both of you.” He said touching John’s forehead.            “What do you want with me Dremis?” she said frowning at him for touching her son. “You think taking my babies will make things better for you?” she said shaking her head. “You know you are pathetic to choose a small child for whatever purpose you feel needs to happen.” She said taking a step towards Dremis.            “I want a lot of things with you, apparently I want the war to start over, this time I’ll take your boys and you, and then you will be forced to become my demon pet, Drake’s wife.” He said looking back at Anabel. “I want the end of all of the Angels, you see you took something that belonged to me, and I want it back.”            “What would that be?” she said looking away from him, she wanted to find some kind of weapon just to defend herself, but she didn’t know if Dremis knew she wanted the weapon. “You think I’d just allow you to turn me into some kind of demon?” she said shaking her head. “Yeah, I doubt that’s going to work.”            Dremis took a step towards her, “don’t you remember when I told you, your boys will control you?” he said finally touching her on her face. “How about I take John and you come and play this game with me. I promise it will be fun.” He said disappearing with John.
