Aurora got into bed, maintaining a little distance, though it was a bit difficult to stay so far away from him. As she tried to sleep, William suddenly grabbed her by the arm and brought her close to his chest.
"What are you doing?" Aurora asked, in confusion.
"Don't say anything," he replied.
Aurora fell silent. William could feel his wife's heart beating faster than normal, but soon it returned to its normal rhythm.
That night, amid the sound of the rain and flashing lighting, William and Aurora slept in each other’s arms. It felt like a farewell.
At dawn, Aurora opened her eyes and saw that William was already dressed and sitting on the couch, staring at her intently.
"Good morning," she said, a bit self-conscious.
"Good morning, I'll wait for you in the car. Please get dressed,"
