The next morning after the school assembly Ceejay walked up to Miss Iris asking her if they could see later at night to gist and catch up since it's been a while and she agreed. After classes Ceejay quickly rushed down the stairs and helped Miss Iris out with her bags and they both left the school together.
"So how were your classes today..hope the boys didn't stress you much?"...Ceejay asked
"well the usual my dear..they can't do without noise" she said
"Yh doh...i just wish you could leave the school as I'm leaving i can't bear the thoughts of leaving you here in this place" Ceejay said
" I do plan on leaving soon though" she said
"really?" Ceejay asked to be sure
"yes my dear" she said with a smile
" What if I had decided to leave a month ago?" she asked him
"well I'd be happy you are out of here but just sad I won't be seeing ur pretty face again " he said
"hmmm hmmm" she said
"yea" he replied
On getting to the gate of the staff quarters Ceejay asked
" could I still come tonight?"
"reduce your voice" she said with a whisper and laughing a bit
whispering and laughing also he said "ok I'm sorry"
"yea just be careful plz anyone could see u " she said
"alright I will" he said
Then they waved goodbyes and talked a bit and left ..by 8pm Miss Iris had a visitor who turned out to be Ceejay
"my dear what did u have for dinner?" Miss Iris asked.
"nothing the timetable we are to have okra soup"
"yh and u don't like it...doh I have spaghetti though" she said
" ooh thanks alot" Ceejay said
"anytime for u dear" she said
So they ate and talked and laughed until there was a long silence which Ceejay broke ....
" Ma'am do u know that I actually like you?"
"Ceeeeee" she said
"plz calm down" she went on
little Cee explained it all to her and she was dumbfounded at how good and mature Ceejay had talked about his feelings towards her....until she said
" yes I know it's wrong but i feel the same for you though even though you are 16"
"really?" he asked
"yes dear....i just hope it's not because I'm getting too close to you "
"I really do like you so much" he said
"you should go after your mates dear" she said
"but it's you and i don't and won't anyone else because you are better" Ceeejay said
"thanks dear...but I have to set questions for the exams think you could help out?" she said
" yea sure" he replied
They worked and finished by 11...and Ceejay and Miss Iris hugged and Ceejay left in the dark to hostel after they exchanged good nights...Ceejay kept on thinking about a possible future with Miss Iris and she kept on thinking of what Ceejay had told earlier.
