The man guided the group, shifting from wolf to human form. There’s a unique courage in how they keep his gaze locked on Alpha. Then he said, "That's how it should be, that's the courage I'm looking for that I want to be able to fight"
The Alpha opened his mouth just a bit, a look of disappointment mixed with a smirk on his face. "You will pay for this!"
Amidst the wild, swirling flames dancing on the ground, a stunning wolf leaped through the air, capturing the fierce spirit of battle that defined its very being. Its thick fur, a stunning mix of deep grays and silvers, glimmered in the flickering light, with its intense eyes shone. The wolf's strong limbs propelled it forward with remarkable agility, showcasing both its training and the deep bond it shared with its pack. As it descended, the air buzzed with energy, a vivid reminder of the fierce loyalty and bravery that drove these guardians to defend their territory against any threat, no matter how intimidating.
"And who is this one?" the man asked.
"This is my best warrior, Beta Max." the Alpha said.
Beta Max charged at the man, but with a swift move, the man dodged his attack. As a result, Beta Max tumbled to the other side, his body crashing against a large rock. The impact was so strong that it caused the fragile surface of the rock to crumble under the weight of his fall.
The man wasn't surprised by Beta Max's attack, but he was surprised by his speed, considering his human-wolf nature.
When Beta Max stands up, his gaze fell first to the enemies, and he temporarily devoted his strength to attack and killed the two of them instead. His attack is so fierce and bloody.
The Alpha help his guards to fight with the enemies. In his one hand, their throats was slashed with his mighty claws. Then the man, who's the leader, and the one who brings his group to the Pack's ground was taken aback, he suddenly felt fears to become the remaining one, alive from the group. Then Beta Max faced him, and gave him his one punched in the face, then he fell to the ground and lost his consciousness.
"You, go to your leader! and told him. That I will come for him!" The Alpha told the one wolf that he was holding by the neck and choking for a few seconds. But then, he let it go.
When the wolf's neck was freed from the Alpha's hand, he immediately ran away from the area, while their leader was already captured and Beta Max dragged his body to the cell, where Abby Jezz was locked up. Two guards help each other to tie up his hands and feet and leave it there.
Beta Max gazed at the girl who locked on that cell. She was still quite young, and at first glance, there was something about her that drew him in. Could it be love at first sight?
However, Abby Jezz didn't mind his presence.
"What is the reason why the rogues have become emboldened to attack us? They never do this for years" Beta Max said. Walking back to the Alpha who is currently busy checking the dead bodies.
"I believe, that someone is leading them here, and has ordered to destroy this night. This is just a "free test" of our enemy. We need to find out who this person is, before it becomes too late.." the Alpha replied. His thoughts drifted back to his ex-wife, Linda. He glanced over at the cell where Abby Jezz was locked up and there, he spotted Linda sitting outside, keeping an eye on her daughter.
"It's been a long time since I left, and trained away, I didn't expect the party to turn out like this!" Beta Max added to say.
"My apology. I'll make up for it next time. Right now we need to prepare a ceremony for the funeral of our colleague" The Alpha said, and other elders came, and they cried for their lost.
"Your apology is accepted. Then how about this cute girl in the cell. Is she a rogue? if yes give her to me. I will make her my wife." Beta Max whispered to the Alpha jokingly.
"Don't make any mistake of saying that" the Alpha pointed.
Beta Max frowned, it was not clear to him how special this girl was, for him. But what he knows is that the Alpha's daughter already found and came home so he needed to attend the event to officially meet his daughter. But for that girl, even if she was imprisoned on that cell, meaning she's not that kind of a thing. "Why?" he suddenly asked.
The Alpha turned to his back and said, "She's my daughter."
"WHAT?!" Beta Max almost shouted it out.
Morning came, everything was ready for a private ceremony that would be held in a few seconds. Everyone was gathering and the guards were keeping a close watch because of what happened last night.
While some were mourning the loss of their loved ones, Beta Max was busy looking at the girl in the cell. The girl he was looking at looked like a monkey currently eating a banana while her right hand was tied with a chain.
"Oh so sad, pretty monkey..." he whispered. But he didn't know that the Alpha was already standing on his back.
"Who are you calling a monkey?"
Beta Max almost had a heart attack from the shock of Alpha's sudden speech behind him. "Ah. I mean the monkey in the trees. I saw a sad monkey this morning!"
"A sad monkey?" the Alpha wanted to clarify. He thinks deeper as what he means for. Then he turned to looked at the cell. He saw Abby Jezz there, who was still eating a bunch banana.
"Max, I want you to look for her. Let her out and give her some nice clothes to wear. If she escapes here, I'll smash and cut your body into pieces, and feed you to the old monkeys in front of this pack." the Alpha said.
"Wow! it's a bad curse! But actually, I like that good idea. I'll take care of her!" with utmost excitement, Beta Max immediately left his front and walked going to the cell where Abby Jezz and the man were locked.
"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Ahm. Well, you lady, you must come with me." Beta Max announced properly.
Hearing that, Linda reacted, "For what?"
"If he won't let us go, it's better to stay here, Until we rot." Abby Jezz replied. She was calmly eating a banana and looking at Beta Max. There was no trace of fear in her expression, because Jezz sensed that this human-wolf was not bad.
"Well, I have many banana in the house. And I need a monkey pet like you at home." Beta Max told her.
"Take me with her." Abby Jezz said.
"Alright. Your mother is also welcome to my home!" Beta Max responsive voices. He underestimate Linda as a mother of Abby Jezz now. He felt that there is something weird about these two, aside from being human.
"Why should I trust you?" Abby Jezz asked.
"Why don't you try and find out?" Beta Max said, and winked at her.
