Grayson POV
I am slightly stunned that she hit me, not that it hurt but it was unexpected and surprising, I've never had a woman slap me before. She is still in a defensive pose, muttering to herself, and eyeing me as if I was something foul she stepped in.
If it wasn't for my enhanced hearing I would have missed what she said. "Psychotic seat stealers in coach, s****l deviants in first class, and still over four hours til touchdown I wonder how long I can stay in the lavatory until my ass falls asleep and gives me a cramp."
God, I love this woman she is a riot, s****l deviant, she's got you pegged, my wolf is howling with laughter.
I am not a deviant mutt I'm a dominant there is a difference.
Sure, sure tomato tomahto,, he mocks back.
I clear my throat and softly say,
"Please permit me to apologize,"
I pause as she narrows her eyes at me, when one brow raises skeptically she asks. "Do you always accost strangers in public?" She glances around the cabin noting that we are completely alone and adds, "well semi-public? How many other women have you lured in with this whole decent guy routine? What you think cause I took my shirt off and let you clean my arm I want to join the mile high club?" She grabs the closest object that just happens to be an airline pillow and brandishes it like a weapon. She looks at it, then looks at me, snorts and starts laughing as she sinks down into the seat.
You broke our mate, she has completely cracked. Orion grunts as we stare at our mate who is laughing almost hysterically while wiping tears from her eyes.
"Oh my gosh, I wish you could see your face," she gasps out still laughing.
"It's all good, apology accepted. Though I guess technically you asked for permission to apologize you didn't actually do it yet. Goodness the look on your face when I accused of trying to join the mile high club." She starts laughing all over again, and I can't keep the grin from spreading on my own face.
Shaking my head, "I sincerely apologize, it was never my intention to accost you, although if you are willing, I'm up for anything you are." I respond with lazy smirk.
I can almost physically feel her eyes rake up and down my body as she replies, "yeah, I'm sure you are, but maybe we should start with introductions first? Oh, and I'm sorry for slapping and punching you it was reflex. I'm Jordyn Davies sorry for the chaotic morning." she extends her hand leaning across the aisle towards me.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Jordyn Davies, and other than you being injured and maybe the slap I wouldn't change a thing. I'm Grayson Masters." I say as I engulf her small warm hand.
She releases me way to soon and c***s her head to the side. "Grayson Masters like the Masters Group CEO Grayson Masters?" she asks.
I nod my head in the affirmative and can't help but feel that small niggle of doubt that runs through my mind that she knew who I was all along and was faking that whole indignant damsel act.
How the hell would she know, it's not like you've ever been photographed. No wait, let me guess she paid a wolf to injure her on the off chance that you would actually allow her into first class. But all of this was after she hacked the airline database to obtain the passenger manifest to try and book the same flight as you. Orion scoffs.
Okay, I realize how stupid that sounds, but you still have to be suspicious that she picked up on the name right off.
Maybe the fact that you are one of the top five richest people on the planet was the trigger.
Yeah, but....
You could just ask her, stupid, instead of speculating, she is actually talking to you now use this opportunity to our advantage, duh?
I mentally roll my eyes and focus back on what Jordyn is saying.
"That is so cool if you are. You fund one of my projects, well probably not you personally but your foundation, its incedible to meet you. Unless it is just coincidence on the name if that's the case please forget what I've just said, oh yeah it’s nice to meet you anyway," she blurts out.
I watch as she drops her head and mumbles to herself. "Why can I not stop talking around this guy? Pull it together woman you've been around hot men before and not acted like your brain went on vacation. Be the badass b***h people think you are."
Thank Goddess we have enhanced hearing she thinks we're hot. Orion huffs out.
Really, that is all you got from everything she just said?
That is the only part that is important. Well and her smile, her laugh, the fact that her butt is nice and round and I just want to sink my...
That is enough of that have some respect mutt.
Oh like you weren't thinking it. Pay attention I think we missed something.
I break out of the conversation with Orion to find Jordyn standing next to me holding my wrist and checking my pulse.
"Are you okay?" she asks with a worried expression marring her lovely eyes. "You've been doing that a bit. Do you have petit mal seizures? Your eyes roll back and you zone out, should I call for help?"
I twist my wrist to take her hand and gently pull her into my lap and surprisingly she complies. As I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear I am drowning in her intoxicating fragrance and can't help but feel warmed by the depth of concern in her fathomless eyes.
She is going to be a perfect Luna, Orion whispers in my mind and I can't help but agree. If she shows this much compassion for a complete stranger even if we are mates I can only imagine the love she gives to those she truly cares about.
I rest my forehead against hers and respond. "I'm okay, I was just talking to myself?" In the end it comes out more like a question and I see the skepticism enter her eyes.
Reluctantly I let her go as she takes in our position and slowly pulls away from me.
"Let's pretend for a second I believe you. Lord knows I've talked to myself plenty of times and zoned out of a conversation, it is the eyes rolling back and total stillness that you may want to have checked. There is no shame in having an illness, but I am a complete stranger so I can understand not wanting to admit it, " she calmly replies as she moves off my lap to sit beside me. She is still gently holding my hand and I am in awe of the sparks and comfort I am feeling just from that simple touch.
I can't help but feel bad for that small part of me that wishes she wasn't human so she could understand what I'm feeling.
"Can I see you again?" I suddenly blurt.
She glances around the first class cabin as if she is expecting someone else to be there and quietly asks, "Me?"
I grasp her tiny hand in both of mine and nod.
She looks around again, purses then wets her lips momentarily distracting me from my train of thought.
I'd really love to taste those lips again, Orion and I definitely agree on that point, but I need to focus.
Jordyn POV
I think I've died, yep that's what must have happened. The crazy lady tore my arm off and I've bled out on an airplane, I hope that didn't cancel the flight for the other passengers. How sad. That's the only explanation for why this God of a man would be asking me out. It is all a hallucination as I transition through death. No first class, no kiss, no slap and punch (although if we're being honest that might be a good thing). Aww man I won't get to see my nephews and say goodbye.
I am jolted out of my reverie when the plane violently lurches, and my bandaged arm slams into the armrest.
Damn that really hurt, I might actually be alive, blast that means I've been sitting here like a bump on a pickle while Grayson Masters is waiting for my answer.
"No, yes, I mean I guess, maybe, I... Jesus, why do you make me so nervous I am usually more articulate than this. Yes, yes I would like to see you again. I think?" I ramble out in one breath.
I pinch the bridge of my nose and close my eyes as I hear the warm chuckle that escapes from him, it almost sounds like he is purring.
Pull yourself together dang it, you are a brilliant capable woman. Pop you head out of your rear end.
I can't even guess what is running through his mind but if I was in his position I would seriously reconsider the invitation.
I cannot breathe and I think I'm going to be sick as I bolt out of my seat and rush to the lavatory.
Black spots appear and fade before my eyes as I realize I am having a panic attack.
Shit, I haven't had one of these in years. I am doing my best to remember my breathing techniques and get air to my oxygen starved brain, the pain in my chest only growing when the door is wrenched open and Grayson forces his way into the confined space.
He spins me so that I am sitting on the small sink and he steps between my legs. Honestly it would be hot if I wasn't on the verge of passing out.
His warm and callused palms grip my face as he compels me to look into his stormy gaze.
"Breathe Jordyn," he commands. I want to comply but my body is not cooperating. His lips slam down on mine robbing me of the meager air I have left and I see stars along with my spots. When he lifts away I take in a huge gulp of air, my breath is coming in slower and more deliberate now.
Wow, who would have ever thought that would've worked?
"That's it in and out, you're okay" He is whispering over and over while rubbing soothing circles on the small of my back.
Slowly my breathing returns to normal and I become aware of our surroundings and position. I just want to remain in his arms and bask in his soothing aura but the faucet is poking my posterior and really becoming uncomfortable.
I shift forward moving further into the warm embrace and have a whole different kind of poking going on as his bulge presses more firmly against my lady bits.
Holy moly, talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard on!
I don't know whether to be turned on or deeply afraid, if his magic stick is proportionate to rest of his body and based on the bulge that is currently taking up residence between my jean clad thighs it is, then I am in serious trouble.
A different kind of heat takes over my body as embarrassment creeps in. Well at least my panic attack is over if I can have thoughts like that.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what that was, I mean I know what it was but I don't know what brought that on. I, you, we, this just makes me extremely jittery and I am not sure... I am not explaining this well." I belt out as my brain starts to semi-function again. I happen to glance up into his glowing eyes and... wait glowing that doesn't make any sense I know his eyes were a deep emerald and now they are almost gold and what is with the growling I am starting to think I'm hallucinating. I close my eyes and gently push him back creating space between us as I try to ignore the small electric current running from everywhere he is touching me.
"What is going on in here?" the now shrill voice of the flight attendant breaks us from our silent bubble causing me to jump off the sink and land squarely on Grayson's foot of his weak leg as if this day could get any worse.
"Nothing," he snaps back as he guides me out of the enclosed space and past the bristling woman.
"Miss you have been nothing but trouble and I am going to have to report you to the air marshal. You need to come with me," the irate woman reaches to take my arm, when Grayson is suddenly between us and towering menacingly over the now frightened woman.
"You get one warning, walk away right now, you will not get another chance." There is no mistaking the amber glow of his eyes or the oppressing power radiating from him that is causing the woman to whimper and cower in fear.
"Grayson?" I whisper as I raise my hand to his shoulder. He visibly shudders at my touch and inhales deeply. "Go," he barks out and the woman runs as he turns and buries his face in the crook of my neck.
What the heck, is all I can think as he tightens his grip and continues to breathe on my neck trying to calm himself.
Seriously is he sniffing me? I took a shower this morning or was it last night? Hell I don't know, what difference does it make he doesn't seem to mind. I dazedly rouse myself from my thoughts just enjoying the feel of being held close and relishing the shivers his warm breath is causing throughout my body. All I can say is I will definitely remember this flight for the rest of my life.
