Rejecting The Alpha

chapter 5

Luka POV

The sweet smell filled my nostrils as I had her pinned against the wall. Both hands placed on either side of her head on the wall behind her. I could tell from her fast Breathing that I made her nervous. f**k, she made me nervous.

My wolf, Ace, howled at me to touch her. To mark her and make her ours. He was sensing her wolf and it was making him go crazy.

I thought about what she would look like shifted. Would she be as beautiful as she was now? Would her fur be as dark as the hair on her head? The mer thought of her shifted into the beautiful moon creature made Ace howl in excitement.

I didn't realize that when I made this stupid ass deal that I would come face to face with my mate. I was nearing twenty five and had started to give up hope that I would find her. That was until I walked into Alpha Marcus' home and the air around me filled with the sweet smell of cherry and bubblegum.

That's when I seen her. She had her back faced towards me as she stared at my beta. I felt myself becoming jealous just seeing it. My wolf growled at the sight.

" Mate" Ace growled.

" Calm down" I growled back.

I knew that James wouldn't do anything to any women he thought I had an interest in, let alone my mate. Although, he was unaware she was my mate at this moment.

I had decided during dinner that she was to move in with me now. I needed her next to me. I needed to feel her warmth in our bed. Her hands on me. I needed to feel myself between her legs as she cried out my name in pleasure.

I had to admit, it was a surprise to see her snap at the mention of her moving in. It was an even bigger surprise to see that she had no problem lashing out and disobeying her alpha. She was a firecracker and I was going to have my hands full.

I followed her out of the dining room. I made up some lame excuse that I needed to use the restroom but I'm sure everyone at that table knew I was lying. I'm not sure why I lied, she was mine.

I found her pacing the hallway. Her dark hair was in perfect curls above her shoulders as she mumbled something to herself. Ace began to jump with joy the closer we got to her, her sweet smell once again filling the air I breath.

My heart skipped as her head swung around to face me. I wanted to grab her, throw her against the wall and mark her. To let every other man know she is mine. She belongs to me as I do her.

She wasn't fighting me. She wasn't submitting either though. I had to break away from her. I was afraid if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to control myself anymore. I pulled away before looking down at her.

" I'll give you the weekend"

Her eyes furrowed as she looked at me. " For what?"

" To pack and say your goodbyes"

Without another word from me or giving her a chance to argue, I turned and made my way back down the hallway towards the others. I quickly moved my hair out of my face as I rounded the corner.

I walked back into the dining room to see everyone was still seated where they were when I left. I shot beta a look before looking over at Marcus. I didn't like the man. He was a weak alpha who was running a weak pack. Ever since his wife and beta died he had become weaker. Slower.

I was a child when the fight broke out. I was maybe seven at at the time. I remember my father telling the pack about the fight that had been brought to the Lockford front yard. How there had been many fatalities, including that of his beta and Luna.

The thought of losing my Luna made my wolf cry. I couldn't bare the thought of the pain this poor excuse for a man must have felt after that night. They say Luna Evi was a warrior. She never let her Alpha fight alone. I wasn't sure I'd let Rieka do the same. I wasn't sure I could handle seeing her go to war and losing her life in front of me.

I watched as my Beta and the girl who they called Lucy get up from the table and walk off. I rolled my eyes at the sight. The man couldn't keep his d**k in his pants for even one night. After some time and going over the arrangements with Marcus, James and the girl come back.

It didn't take a genius to see what they had done. His hair was a mess as her makeup was no longer in tact. I let out a sigh as I stood to my feet.

" I'll be back Monday" I said to Marcus before looking back at James. " Let's go"

James and I made it back out to my car. The moon was bright in the sky as it was now nearing midnight. I slid into the driver's seat as James followed suit into the passenger. I hated pulling away from here without my Luna, my princess. The soon to be queen of the silver pack but I gave her this weekend with her family and friends. I don't go back on my word. Regardless of what my reputation says.

" So why isn't she with us?" James asked as he turned to look at me.

I held one hand on the wheel as the other rested on the gear shift. " I gave her the weekend"

James nodded his head. " And why, exactly?"

I glanced over at him for a second before looking back at the road. " What do you mean, why?"

" You've never given anyone a couple days to accept anything. Why now, with her?"

I shook my head. I wasn't going to explain myself to him. All he needed to know was that I had made my mind up. She was coming to live with me at the pack house starting Monday. I glanced over at him once more as I heard him begin to chuckle.

" I get it now"

" Get what?"

" The leniency. The googly eyes at dinner. The following her out of the dining room after she stormed out" he looked at me. " She's your mate, isn't she?"

I didn't respond. I continued our drive down the long dark road as I put more and more distance between my mate and myself. My wolf cried the further we got, I was starting to regret my decision to let her stay with her old pack over the weekend. I didn't want to listen to Ace whine the whole damn weekend.

After an hour, we finally pulled up to our pack house. Cars sat in the large driveway as some of the night guards greeted us. I walked past them and into the house without saying a word.

I walked into my office and took a seat behind the desk. I let out a breath as I ran my hands over my face. This was going to be a long ass weekend. I glanced around the large office. My mind on Rieka. I was imagining what it would be like to take her here on this desk, for her screams of pleasure to roar through the house. To have my name slip from her mouth in her moment of climax.

I was pulled from my thoughts as a knock come to the office door. I looked up to see the small red head walk into the room.

" Alpha" Erica smiled as she seductively walked towards me. " I've been waiting for you"
