THREAD OF FATE CHAPTER 9 Liza's eyes sparkled as she expertly juggled multiple orders, her smile warm and inviting as she interacted with the regular customers at her father's cozy restaurant. The aroma of sizzling burgers and crispy fries wafted through the air, mingling with the sound of lively chatter and clinking dishes. Just as Liza was about to deliver a steaming plate of chicken wings, her phone rang, shrill in the bustling atmosphere. She apologized to the waiting customer and quickly grabbed her phone, her eyes scanning the unknown number on the screen. "Good afternoon, Miss Liza Smith," a crisp, professional voice announced. "We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as one of the top applicants for the position at Williams Fashion Home." Liza's heart skipped a beat as she listened, her grip on the phone tightening. "We expect you to resume work on Monday morning at 9 am. Congratulations, Miss Smith." The words hung in the air like a promise, and Liza's face erupted into a radiant smile. She let out a squeal of delight, jumping up from her seat as she cradled the phone in her hand. "I got the job, Dad!" she exclaimed, spinning around to face her father, who was busy flipping burgers on the grill. "I'm going to work at Williams Fashion Home!" The restaurant patrons turned to stare, drawn in by Liza's infectious excitement. Her father, beaming with pride, dropped his spatula and swept Liza into a tight hug. "We're giving away free food to everyone in the restaurant!" he announced, his voice booming above the din. "My daughter just landed her dream job!" The room erupted into cheers and applause as Liza and her father twirled around the restaurant, basking in the joy and congratulations of their customers. As soon as Liza managed to extricate herself from the celebratory chaos, she hastily dialed Helena's number, barely containing her excitement. "Girl, I got the job!" Liza shrieked into the phone, hardly able to believe her own words. Helena's response was immediate and enthusiastic. "I knew you'd do it, bestie! You deserve it! Go out there and slay the fashion world!" Liza grinned, feeling like she was walking on air. "Thanks, Helena! I couldn't have done it without your support. I'll make sure to stay in touch and fill you in on all the juicy details." As she ended the call and floated out of the restaurant, Liza felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and joy. This was just the beginning of her dream career, and she couldn't wait to see what the future held. With a happy heart and a spring in her step, Liza headed home to start preparing for her first day at Williams Fashion Home. She knew that this was just the start of an incredible journey, and she was ready to take on the world, one outfit at a time.
