THREAD OF FATE CHAPTER 33 After a long day at work, Liza decided to pay her friend Helena a surprise visit at her workplace. It had been a while since they last saw each other, and Liza couldn't wait to reconnect with her dear friend. As soon as Helena spotted Liza walking into her office, she let out a squeal of delight and rushed to give her a warm hug. The two friends laughed and embraced each other tightly, almost losing balance in the process. After a few minutes of catching up and hugging, Helena finally released Liza from her grasp. "I've missed you so much, Liza!" Helena exclaimed, her eyes shining with happiness. "It's been a while since we last saw each other." Liza smiled apologetically. "I know, I'm sorry. Work has been keeping me incredibly busy lately." Helena waved her hand dismissively. "No need to apologize, I completely understand. So, what's new with you? What's the latest gossip?" Liza's face lit up with a mischievous grin. "You'll love this," she said, pausing for dramatic effect. "Tylor, my boss, asked me out a few days ago... and I said yes!" Helena's eyes widened in surprise, and she let out a loud whoop of excitement. "Wow, that's amazing news! Congratulations, Liza!" Liza's face glowed with happiness, but she also looked a little nervous. "Thanks, Helena. I'm really happy, but I have to admit, I'm also a bit scared. I've developed strong feelings for Tylor, and I'm not sure what the future holds." Helena pulled Liza into a warm hug. "Don't worry, my dear. Everything will be okay. Just relax and enjoy this new chapter in your life. You deserve it." Meanwhile, Sonia was at home, alone in her room, seething with anger and jealousy. She couldn't stop thinking about Tylor and Liza's new relationship, and it filled her with a sense of bitter resentment. "Tylor was mine from the beginning," she muttered to herself, her voice trembling with rage. "No one is going to take him away from me, especially not that... that... Liza." Just then, Sonia's mother, Shasha, knocked on the door and entered the room. "My baby, what's wrong? You've been talking to yourself since you got back from work. What's going on?" Sonia's face twisted in a scowl. "That Liza girl at work... she's dating Tylor now. She thinks she can just waltz in and steal him away from me." Shasha's expression turned cunning. "Don't worry, my dear. You're the one who's going to marry Tylor, not Liza. We'll make sure it happens, and I'll become the Williams' in-law - mark my words!" Sonia's eyes narrowed. "I'll do whatever it takes to make sure Liza doesn't get her hands on Tylor." Shasha smiled, a calculating glint in her eye. "You can do it, my baby. We'll come up with a plan to break them apart, and you'll get your man." With that, Shasha pulled Sonia into a tight hug, her mind already spinning with schemes and strategies to ensure her daughter's victory in the battle for Tylor's heart. As soon as Shasha left Sonia's room, Sonia's face lit up with a mischievous grin. She quickly grabbed her phone and dialed Tylor's number, her heart racing with anticipation. "Hello, Tylor!" Sonia chimed, trying to sound as cheerful as possible. Tylor's deep voice responded from the other end, "Hey, Sonia! How's it going?" Sonia's tone turned slightly melancholic. "I'm not doing great, to be honest. I've just missed us hanging out together. It feels like ages since we last caught up." Tylor's voice filled with concern. "Aww, Sonia, I'm so sorry. I've been meaning to reach out, but work has been crazy lately." Sonia's face brightened at the prospect of spending time with Tylor. "Hey, no worries! But since you're apologizing, how about making it up to me? Want to hang out tonight?" Tylor paused for a moment before responding, "No problem, Sonia! I should make it up to you. I'll pick you up soon." Sonia squealed with delight, doing a little happy dance in her room. She quickly got ready, slipping into one of her favorite outfits and adding a dash of makeup. As she waited for Tylor to arrive, she couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement. About an hour later, Tylor called Sonia to let her know he was outside. Sonia rushed out of the house, bidding her mother a quick farewell. As she slid into Tylor's car, she couldn't help but notice how handsome he looked in the fading light. "It's so great to see us going out together again!" Sonia exclaimed, beaming at Tylor. "I've really missed us, Tylor." Tylor smiled warmly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You know it's work, Sonia. You're my longtime friend, and I could never forget you." Sonia's expression turned slightly wistful. "But now that you're dating Liza, I'm sure you won't pay much attention to me anymore." Tylor chuckled. "Oh no, Sonia! Just because I'm dating Liza doesn't mean I'll stop being your friend. We might not get to hang out as much as before, but you'll always be important to me." Sonia sighed, a small frown creasing her forehead. "I know. It's just...I'll miss our old times together." As they drove off into the night, Sonia couldn't help but feel a pang of bittersweet nostalgia.
