Even if the sun is shining brightly and the birds are chirping happily, the day is very gloomy for Elena because she felt like she have lost her two friends in just a snap of fingers when she look at her account it is clearly hacked so she got no choice but to delete it and make another account that doesn't have a clue that she is the owner but when she open the school website the post got deleted before she even delete her previous account so maybe the hacker delete it before she did.

"Pick it up, pick it up" she said while holding her phone,she gave up and just sit in the couch, she's been trying to call Alisha for hours now but she's not answering her phone, she wants to explain but it seems like they don't want to hear any words from her and it pains her heart big time, they are the only friends she can rely on, she can rant on but it seems like they are gone. She miss her friends and her parents, loneliness is eating her right now but she can't lose her hope that everything will be back to normal just like before.

Ever since the day Scorch have disappeared her only routines are to wake up, take a bath, eat breakfast, go to school, go home, eat dinner and sleep but every weekends she was going into Alisha's or Celine's house to talk about school and their personal problems but right now that they doesn't want to see her or even talk to her, she felt like she is cursed to be alone but after all the things that have happen to her she still thinks about the man who save her and Scorch, she knows that Scorch will be back but not now she still have to wait.

A place full of trees and plants, the sun will soon rise up on the sky and will shines the whole world that will make all the people in the world happy and will start a new good day, but it felt different for Scorch because he feel like he is trapped into the past and he can never go back into the place he is currently living. He is running and running like someone is chasing him but he is wrong because he is the one who is chasing someone, he saw a lady in a black gown who is running ahead of him while giggling, the sun doesn't shine fully yet but be still can see the lady, he run to follow the lady but suddenly a hand hold him back and when he look at the owner of the hand, he saw a lady wearing jeans and an orange shirt but it shocks him when he saw her face with blood that is gushing into her temple down into her jaws with tears streaming down into her eyes then suddenly little by little she is turning into ashes, he can't do anything but to shout her name

"ELENA! " he shouted and jolted up but when he felt something heavy into his chest he is shocked when he saw Veena peacefully sleeping like an infant, he close his eyes to calm his very fast beating heart, he would be lying if he said that he didn't care about that dream because that dream scares him and with that a few questions entered his mind, what if the other creatures tried to harm Elena? Who will protect her?. His thoughts were cut when he saw that Veena move and sat beside him.

"What happened? " she asked while roaming her eyes around the place and Scorch did the same, they are surrounded by trees and there's no trace that a maze have appeared here maybe a few hours earlier

"A maze appeared here that made the two of us separate" he said and Veena look at him

"How can I not remember anything? " she said with a furrowed eyebrows

"You don't need to know everything, just rest for a while before we continue our journey" he said and Veena just nodded her head and lay her head into his lap again then close her eyes, tiredness have hit her body so hard that all she wants to do is sleep all day but she knew that she can't because they need to reach the portal before they ran out of time, she didn't tell to Scorch that the portal do not stay in one place only, it is going to disappear in the place it is currently in after five days and going to appear into different place, right now the portal's location is in the last place, their timeline is different from human world, one day is equivalent of one week in human world and this is their third day in the unknown places, they need to hurry before the portal disappear or else they are going back into zero and their efforts are going to be nothing.

"Scorch what are you going to do if you go back to earth? " Veena said while her eyes are close

"I'm going to be happy because I will be able to protect Elena again" he said while looking at the sky

'Elena again' Veena said to her mind but still understand that Scorch is a guardian angel and it is normal for him to feel worried about Elena's safety

"And what are you going to do if you didn't succeed in going back to earth? " she said and look up to see his face while Scorch look down to look at her

"That's not going to happen, you are going to help me right? " he said while slightly smiling and tiredness are still written into his face, Veena nodded her head and look away, she think for awhile that's her purpose she is just there to help him but why does she felt weird like her heart is aching, she doesn't know what it is but she was hurt so she just sit beside him and act like nothing is happening to her.

"I think we're in the fifth place so let's keep on going" she said and when she was about to stand up Scorch hold her wrist to pull her down again

"How do you know? " he said

"Everytime that we finished the so called test of those guardians, we are automatically going to be teleported into the next place, you finished the quest in that maze so that means we are in the fifth place, simple as that" she explained and stand up

"C'mon let's rest under that tree, it's getting hotter here" she said and walk over the big oak tree and Scorch got no choice but to follow her

"Scorch, Angels can fall in love with a human right? " she suddenly ask while looking straight in front of them

"Yes we can , why? " he said and look at her

"Do you love Elena? " she said while biting her lips

"What's with that question? " he ask to her almost laughing

"Just answer it! " she said almost screaming

"Hey cool your head down and to answer your question it's a no" he said and Veena look at him

"Why? " she ask with a furrowed brow

"Because I just want to treat her like a younger sister" he said while looking at her too then smile and she smile too then both of them look away with a smile on their faces, they don't know what do they feel but they are seriously happy with whatever it is.

"You know what let's just find the guardian of this place so we can go to another place as soon as possible" Veena said, she stand up and walk away leaving Scorch chuckling to himself, he is smiling while following her

"Veena i have a question what did you saw in the lake? " Scorch ask while curiously looking at her because he knew he is not the only one who felt uncomfortable after what happened in the lake, Veena suddenly tense but she really don't know why

"I don't know but I think we shouldn't have to worry about that, it's nothing" she while controlling herself to stay calm even if her heart is beating so fast that if it is a race her heart is going to win, Scorch nodded and look around the place, he thinks that they are in the middle of the forest, they can't see any path that can lead them out because of the trees and the colorful plants.

"Scorch look" Veena said and walk towards a beautiful purple flower, she didn't know what kind of flower it is but it is beautiful and attractive, Scorch smiled when he saw that Veena is happily touching the flowers and there it is, the very foreign feeling that felt before are coming back again, he doesn't know what it is but he is sure that it is because of Verna.

All of his life the only thing that he does was to protect Elena from harm, he admit that he is lonely because nobody talks to him, the angels are busy protecting the humans that got assign to them and they don't have time to talk to the each other. Sometimes the people only focus into their works that they forgot to have fun even just for a day like other people do and sometimes other people focus on having fun than being productive and help the others, Scorch find his whole life boring but when he found Veena his life suddenly change, he considered going into earth as adventure, he finally have his friend and he felt this foreign feeling that sends tingles into his whole body but he can't do anything about it because everything that she does he will feel it but little did he know that Veena felt the same but little by little she figured out what it is, she doesn't care about the things like he is an angel and she is a demon all she wants to do is to make Scorch feel that he is important, more than important than a jewel.

"Veena stop playing with those plants, let's find the guardian" Scorch said while walking towards Veena but before he completely step beside her, vines tangled his body same with Veena, they both look to each other but the vines tug them, after a few seconds he just saw himself lying into the giant flower and the flower is already closing while the vines are keeping him to stop from moving, he thinks about Veena but water are filling the plant little by little and his vision are starting to blurred until he blacked out.

Veena saw how the giant flower take Scorch but she can't do anything but watch until she felt something fell into her eyes, she is crying because she can't do anything to make them free from the plants that she thinks that wants to eliminate them, she felt how the vines press her harder into the tree but she fought it as she wants to be free but the vines squeeze her harder, she wants Scorch to be free so he can go back to the earth and fulfill his duty as a guardian angel just like what he wants to do but being a strong demon she felt useless at this point, she can't do anything because every time that she moves the vines only squeeze her tighter, she tried to move again but the vines squeeze her again that makes her vision to be blurred and blacked out.

Veena woke up into an unfamiliar place again but she guess that she is in a forest because of the many trees

"Round and round here we go, the ones who let go are the ones who lose" she saw a little girl skipping her way into the forest while singing that very familiar tune, she followed the girl until they reach the small cabin in the dark side of the forest

"Mom I'm home" the little girl happily said while opening the door but the little girl didn't heard any replies from her mother

"Mom? " the girl said while peeking her head into the stairs and the girl decided to go up, Veena just followed because​ of curiosity

"Mom? Are you in there? " the girl said and open the door slowly but the girl froze in her spot when she saw a lady kneeling into the floor with a knife into her chest, the lady look into the girl's direction and smile

"Crystal" the lady whispered and her body turns into ash, the girl run into the lady's ash and cried while shouting 'mom' but Veena only watch because she is shock that the lady turns into ashes, it only happens when a creature dies but the other creature will be burn first before it turns into ashes, the only creatures that will turn into ashes immediately are demons because angels will glow and then they will turn into ashes, so therefore she conclude that the lady is a demon but did someone killed her or she killed herself ?. Veena shook her head and went outside the cabin but a figure near the cabin cought her eyes, it looks like a human but she knew that it is not because she clearly saw the tattoo in the man's neck, it is a pair of wings and the color is white but glowing so she ask to herself, what is an angel that came from the council doing in the demon's territory?, the lady is a demon and this forest is clearly her territory that means any creatures are not allowed to go inside unless the demon wants to, questions filled her mind then she saw the angel disappeared.

The door opened and the girl walk out while crying then she sat into the grass, hugging her knees and continued crying

"Crystal! " Veena saw a lady running with a little boy in her hands, the lady crouched down and let the boy sit beside Crystal then she hug the girl

" Aunt Talia, my mother" Crystal said and cried again

"Shhh don't worry I will take care of you, don't cry okay? Raven will be sad if she saw you cry" the lady or Talia said and hug Crystal tighter

"Mama is Aunt Raven left? Why is Crystal crying? " the little boy ask while looking at Talia

"No Aire, she is just sleeping" Talia said and comb Aire's hair with her fingers, Aire nodded and took something out of his pocket

"Crystal this my gift for you, me and mama made that, happy birthday" Aire said while smiling at Crystal

"Thank you Aire, it is beautiful" she said and put the bracelet into her wrist, it is made of vines with crystals in if

"Can I see Aunt Raven? " Aire said while smiling from ear to ear, he is completely clueless about Raven's death

"No Aire mom doesn't want to be disturb, how about we go to your house and play? " Crystal said while faking her smile, Aire nodded they walk together hand in hand, Talia look back at the Cabin

"I will take care of your daughter my friend and someday I will tell her the truth" Talia said and turn her back leaving the cabin burning

The place change so Veena knows that there's a new scenario that she will see, it looks like she is in a village, there are torch everywhere and she also notice that there are men who are drinking some beer in front of a house, it is also dark and no one is coming out of their houses so she thinks that it is midnight but there's someone who caught her eyes, a lady with a black cloak is walking towards the forest Veena can't clearly see her face because it's quit blurry but before she reach the forest she walk passed the three drunk men

"Hey lady where are you going? " one of the drunk men said and walk towards her with a beer glass in his hand, the lady in the cloak stop walking and turn her head into the drunk men,Veena notice the bracelet made of vines with some crystals in it so she knew that it is Crystal because she remembered that it is the bracelet that Aire made for her

"I'm going home Mister" Crystal politely said to the man that ask her

"Already? How about joining us and going home tomorrow? It's a good idea eh" the other one said while walking towards her that makes Crystal step back and tremble with fear

"I can't Mister, my aunt will be mad" she said and turn her back but a hand prevent her by holding her shoulder

"You don't turn your back while we are talking to you young lady" the third one said and drag her with him while the other two men laugh that shows that they are having fun

"Please Mister I need to go home, my aunt will be angry" she said while tugging her arms away from the man but the man just pull her harder

"Let me go Mister! " she shouted but the drunk men just laugh at her then grab her cloak that reveals her white as a snow skin and her dress that is dark as the night sky, the man that is holding her arms lick his lips that makes her nervous because she already have an idea what are these men going to do with her, she can't stop herself and tears fell into her eyes

"Aww what's wrong young lady? Are you scared? " the other man ask as he start touching her shoulders and that makes Crystal cry harder, the three men laugh and laugh like they are having fun watching her crying

"Please I beg you let me go" she said while crying but the men laugh again and the other man help the third one to pull her but suddenly she cut their wrist with her small knife and run away

"Ahh!.... You are going to pay for this! " the other one said and run to chase Crystal the other two followed until they reach the dark side of the forest, the other two caught Crystal by her hair and throw her to the ground, the man slap her but she still fought and kick the man in between his legs, she tried to stand up but the other man punch her on the stomach that makes her lie in the ground with hands in her stomach

"Haha now you can't escape from us" the man said and rip the upper part of her dress but she regain her strength fast, she kick the man that tried to kiss her neck they attack her again but this time she grab them both in their necks and because her anger is eating her she burn them and throw them into the ground

"Y-your a-a m-monster" she look at the voice direction and saw the third man looking at her with fear in his eyes and she also saw that the man have peed into his pants, she look at the two burning bodies and tremble again she can't believe that she burned them, she look again at the third man and step forward but the man run away while shouting

Crystal tremble and look at the two burned bodies again like she can't believe she did it

"No I didn't" she said while shaking her head and cry

"I'm sorry" she whispered and run, Veena followed her until they reach a cabin near the lake, Crystal went in and she did too

"Crystal what's wrong? " a young man said

"Aire where's aunt Talia? " Crystal ask while looking at the window

"Mama went into the underworld to see what is happening to the soul collectors, many souls are just roaming around here" Aire said and sat in a small chair, he look at Crystal who is crying while sitting in another chair in front of him

"I will repeat my question Crystal, what's wrong?and what happen? You can tell me anything" he said when he notice her ripped clothes but Crystal only cry harder

"I killed them" she said in between of her sobs

"Who do you killed and why did you killed them? " Aire said in a soft and calm way

"They are the two men who is drinking in the village, they tried to take me but I run then when we are in the forest one of them punch me and rip my clothes then the other one tried to kiss my neck and I can't control myself anymore so I accidentally burned them" she explained that makes Aire sigh

"Then we don't have to worry anymore" he said but when he stand up Crystal talk

"The third man saw it" she said that makes Aire nervous, they are hiding from humans for a long time now because they don't want any war or any killings to happen but Aire knows that it is impossible now because of Crystal although he didn't blaming Crystal because she was just protecting herself, Aire suddenly heard many voices and footsteps that are getting near into their cabin, he look at Crystal and she did the same

"We need to escape, let's go to the underworld" Aire said and hold Crystal by her wrist

"No Aire, go to the underworld I will handle this to myself, I made this problem so I am the one who will fix it" she said and removed Aire's hand into her wrist when Aire was about to talk Crystal put her finger into his lips

"No more buts young man" she said and smile that makes Aire sigh but smile and disappeared into the thin air, Crystal run out of the door and run deeper into the forest while the people saw her and run after her

Veena confirmed in her mind that Crystal and Aire are demons even if it is a memory she felt and see the demon aura when Crystal burned the two men and Aire disappeared into the thin air,she guess that Crystal is the lady that she saw in her other dream the lady that a man found in the woods then the man kept Crystal, her head suddenly hurt and she close her eyes as she blacked out

Veena woke up but she is catching her breath as the vines squeeze her tighter, her vision is turning black too and she felt like her body is burning like fire is eating her

"You are weak for a demon if you can't get out into a simple vine" a voice said but she can guess that it is a man base on the masculine tone of the voice but because she is already weak and she can't see anyone, slowly she lost her conscious

"Tsk tsk tsk I can feel your strong aura yet I saw a weak demon that can't be free from the vines" the voice or the man said while sitting in the branch of the tree above Veena's head

He disappeared into the tree but he appeared in front of the giant flower where Scorch was in

"Now you need to see the truth that the cursed one have showed me, you need to see the truth and truth shall set you free" he said and touch the giant flower and it glow same with his hand

Scorch felt the warm breeze touch his skin so he open his eyes, the sun rays blinded him for a few seconds but he adjusted quickly, he saw that he is in a small village and the people are working like normal but a lady in a gray cloak caught his attention, the lady look around the place as if she is hiding to someone and went inside a medium wooden house, he followed the lady inside and saw that she is sitting in a chair in front of a masculine but slightly old man

"What is your name? And what do you need young lady? " the man said while looking intently

"My name is Christine and I am here because I heard that one of the villagers here saw a demon one year and a half ago, is that right?" she said and the man straighten his posture then cross his fingers

"And why do you ask? " he said and put his fingers under his chin, a gesture that he is curious about it that makes Christine smirk under her cloak but Scorch still saw that, Christine remove the hood of her cloak that makes Scorch eyes widen

"I know where she is" Christine said that makes Scorch step back a little then the place change but Scorch is looking down

"How?------Elena? " Scorch whispered as he look at Christine, he just can't believe at the thing that he saw or he just don't want to believe that he saw Elena but the name of the lady is Christine

"Alston! " someone shouted and when he look up he saw.... Veena? then someone went through him but he just saw the man's back, the man or he guess Alston went to the lady that looks like Veena and hug her, he can't believe it and it makes his head ache

But it shock him more when the man turn it's head towards his direction and he saw.... himself

"Crystal do you want to go there? "The man that looks like him or Alston said and the lady that looks like Veena or Crystal nodded her head and walk towards the part of the forest where he saw some flowers

"No-----this---this can't be true" he said while holding his head and he felt like it is aching again

"You can't escape from the truth" a voice said he look around but found no one

"I am the one who knows the truth not like you who can't accept it" the voice said again and it just make Scorch hold his head and hiss in pain

"Accept it and it is the only thing that will set the both of you free" the voice said again

"Who are you talking about? " Scorch said and squeeze his eyes shut

"Veena" it whispered

"Don't hurt her" he said and open his eyes

"Then accept the whole truth and soon you shall remember more" the voice said again that makes Scorch brows to furrowed

"What do you mean remember? " he ask

"Accept the truth and you will find out" the voice said again and Scorch vision turn black the he fell into the ground

Then it came to him like a flash, the people are running with different kinds of sharp object like ax, sword, knives, etc., they have torches too and they are chasing Alston and Crystal, they caught them and stabbed Alston multiple times then burned Crystal then stabbed her chest then Scorch saw Christine watching from afar. The scenario have change and now he saw Aston and Crystal beside the lake and they are hugging each other the Alston let go of the hug to kiss Crystal stomach but little by little Alston disappeared and Crystal look at him.

"Wake up and accept it" Crystal said while walking towards him, Scorch step backward because he is afraid to accept the truth

"Please save me, save Veena" Crystal said then cried and the when Scorch heard her name he felt like he is useless because he can't accept the truth when it is the only thing that can set them free, he just can't believe that it is Elena or Christine is the reason why Alston, Crystal and their unborn baby died, his surrounding became blurry and be lose his conscious.

Scorch open his eyes and he saw how the flower open then the vines let him go, he fell into the ground then he thinks about the memories that he saw, he completely accepted it because he knew that some things can be change and change is the one that he will wait even if it takes so long, he stand up and weakly walk into the big tree where he saw Veena, he stand in front of it and look up at her.

"Veena wake up please" he whispered, he can't use any of his powers because he is very weak and it is a miracle that he can walk alone without any support , the vines let Veena go slowly and when she fell Scorch run and catch her he fell in the ground with Veena on his chest, he sat up and put her on his lap

"Now I know why do I feel this way" he said while caressing her face, now it is clear to him that Veena is the one he needs to protect

"You need to be careful in everything that you will do Angel, they are watching" a voice said and when Scorch look where it came from he saw a man with a modern clothes looking at him

"Who are you? And who are they? " he ask, the man step closer and sat on the ground

"I'm s***h the guardian of this place and about them, you will found out soon" s***h said and look at Veena

"You need to hurry, you only have ten hours left before the portal disappear" s***h said and stand up

"The portal will disappear? " Scorch ask

"Yes" and after s***h said that Scorch and Veena disappeared in the thin air

"Don't let the history to repeat itself..... Alston" s***h said and disappeared in to the thin air leaving the place quite like it is waiting for it's prey.
