[Chapter 1: Guardian]

The trees are dancing with the wind, today was a windy day indeed but it is warm not cold or hot just how the people like it

Sitting in the rooftop edge while watching the people walking, talking, reading in the school's field but when he found the one he's been looking for he smile the girl is chatting with her friends under the tree and he disappear from the rooftop like no one sit on the edge before and he appear beside the tree, he lean his body to the tree and watch the girl for awhile

"Hey Elena are you done with your research? " the girl with the glasses asked, the said girl nodded and bite to her sandwich

"Can I borrow your research? I need some guide I don't know where to start" the girl with a wavy hair said

"Of course" then Elena laugh and the said girl pout her lips

"Hey I think we should go" the girl with a eye glasses says then look up at the sky

"Yeah Alisha is right I think it's going to rain anytime soon " the girl with the wavy hair say so the two of them clean their mess but Elena is just looking at the sky thinking of many things

"I don't want to go home yet" Elena said the two other girls shook their head

"You don't have a choice" Celine the girl with the wavy hair said

"Yeah right let's go" then Elena stood up and started to walk away and the other girls followed her

He walk passed the two girls and walk beside Elena who doesn't have any clue that he is following her

When they finally arrived to the bus station the two girls hop on the bus but they both look at Elena who's looking at them for the whole time

"You coming?" Alisha asked but Elena shook her head

"I'm going to walk I don't want to go home yet" she said so the two girls nod their head and wave goodbye

After the bus left she sigh then started to walk home if she wants to go home fast she needs to enter the small alleyway and because the sky is getting darker she doesn't have a choice but to choose the quick way or else her mother will be angry at her again

The alleyway is so dark and smelly to the point that she wants to throw up, while ignoring the bad smell of the junks that are laying around the alleyway she heard some footsteps following right behind her but she ignore it thinking that it's just some people that wants to take the shortcut too but the thing is the footsteps are coming faster because of the creepy aura and creepy footsteps she run until she came out of the alleyway

Meanwhile back at the alleyway two people are strangling each other

"You can't guard her forever she will die, she needs to die" the man strangling him said but then the tables have turn and now he is strangling him

"I will do anything for her to stay alive even if it cost my life" and he grip his neck tighter until the body of the man starting to crack like a glass, the skin turn black and started to burn but that didn't stop the man from laughing

"You are a fool, you don't know anything you're wasting your time protecting that human, you will die in the end" then the man laugh again and turn into dust he sigh and he appear in Elena's room

Seeing the girl peacefully sleeping in her bed makes him wants to protect her more but because of the man earlier now he does have many questions running into his mind

Is it worth it if he protects her? What can he get as an exchange for protecting her?

He shook his head he shouldn't be thinking that way if he still thinks about it, it will be called a sin only for him. He sigh and sit in the chair right beside the girl's bed then he look at the clock it's 9 o'clock in the evening, The other days Elena just watching some dramas in her laptop or reading some novels but today is different instead of doing those things she is fast asleep without changing into her pajamas, he guess that she was tired from running well who wouldn't be tired if you got lost from running it's actually a good thing that Elena grew up to this town

But then she flinch while sleeping and he thought they it is nothing and then cold sweat beads starting to form into her forehead so he check the air-condition temperature only to found out that the temperature is already cold so why is she sweating?

He got startle because Elena bolted up to her bed and started to wipe her forehead with her hands, she just sat there and stare at her peach color wall

An hour have pass and someone knocks at her door

"Elena are you awake? " her mother ask she sigh and then went to open the door

"I'm awake mom" and her mother smiled at her and gestures to come with her. They sat in the couch of the living room where her father is drinking coffee

"I'm sorry if we're going to discuss this in evening even if it's already late but I wanted to know what are your plans for tomorrow? " her mother ask her smoothly

"Tomorrow ? I don't have any plans for tomorrow" she said while tapping her fingers into her lap

"But it is your eighteenth birthday tomorrow, you forgot aren't you?" her father said and she just rubbed the back of her neck

"I don't want a party but I want pasta and cupcakes" she said and her parents nodded then her father stood up

"Go to your room and sleep" her father said and went to their room

"Just invite your friends tomorrow I will cook the foods okay" her mother said and stood up she just nod as a sign of thanks then her mother went to their room too

Elena just sat in the couch thinking about her dreams it's bothering her since last month at first she thought it was just a weird dreams but the fifth time it happened she is scared, scared of what it is because last month until now her dreams are always the same, the dream is blurred but it shows a man with a lady in the forest just standing in front of each other after that they hugged and the dream ends there. She doesn't want to think about it so instead she texted her friends

Elena: Hey guys do you want to go to our house tomorrow?

Alisha: Of course I will go

Elena: That's good by the way my mom's going to cook her best recipe

Alisha: HAPPY BIRTH DAY TO YOU~♡

Elena: It's not yet twelve

Celine: Then ADVANCE HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Elena:yeah yeah thank you guys ♡

She smile her friends are really something that's why they are her only best friends ever since they are young and no one can ever replace them but then she thought about her dreams again and it's still bothering her even if she thinks that it is nothing but a stupid dream too stupid because she is scared, she giggle at her thoughts and shook her head but her smile faded when she saw a shadow in front of her so she look behind her but found no one then she look in front of her but she only found her shadow alone

"Okay Elena you should sleep there's no one here with you, you are just hallucinating" she said to her self then stood up and walk upstairs meanwhile he is hiding behind the couch thinking again

How could she saw him when he is invincible in humans eyes? Even the human he is guarding shouldn't see him so what happen just now?

He shook his head then stood up he should be careful he didn't know if she really can see him but he still needs to be careful he didn't want to take a risk or else she will freak out

He walk upstairs and hid behind the door while she isn't looking. Elena is sitting on her bed while facing the window she is hesitating to go to sleep call her stupid but again she is scared to have the same dreams again but she still lay on her bed and closed her eyes and soon enough she fell asleep

He saw her sweating while sleeping again so he look at the clock and it's 12 o'clock the time flies so fast

"No no" he heard Elena whispered while sleeping so he went closer to her and look at her

"Please don't" she said again but this time with tears in her eyes he began to worry about her so he divided to enter her dreams but the this g is he can't there's something that is stopping g him from doing that

"Please don't no don't do it I beg you" she whispered again and more tears flows out of her eyes and he can tell that she is scared but he didn't exactly know why but he is sure of one thing... This is not just a ordinary nightmare he knows that there is something more behind that he just need to know the details but he didn't know how... That's a big problem for him

He tried his best to calm her system down but nothing happens she's still crying and begging for someone to stop into her dreams and actually he didn't know if it's a fantasy dream or almost a reality dream he can't tell because he haven't seen it before and it gives him goosebumps even if he is not an ordinary human he still can feel the word scared just like what Elena can feel while she's sleeping and he also wondered what is her dreams all about why is she begging? Why is she crying ? Is it because her dream is all about a relative that is dying in her dreams? Or there's still something else, he can't tell.

His thoughts we're cut when he heard a scream so he looked at Elena and saw her sitting in the bed with her hands in her both ears and she's still screaming

"PLEASE DON'T, STOP PLEASE!" at this point she's not whispering anymore, shouting the words like there's no tomorrow and then he heard some running footsteps not too long Elena's door opens and it reveal her parents they hug Elena while she is crying

"Tell me what's wrong honey? " her mother said while rubbing her back, her head is leaning on his father's chest and sobbing

"There's a lady she stabbed a man and another lady in the forest" she said while sobbing

"Darling don't be afraid no one stab anybody okay? " her mother said and her father hug her tight

"But mom..... The lady that got stabbed rose up and turn to me then she stabbed me non stop" she said while looking into her mothers eyes

He watch as Elena tell her parents about her dreams it looks like an ordinary dream for others but for him it's a sign..... A sign of danger

"Mom I'm scared" she said again but her mother only hug her

"Don't be sweetheart... It is just a dream... Just a dream okay? " her father said she nod her head as a sign of agreement and then she looked up only to see a man standing beside the bed, her eyes widen so is the boy

He knew that she can see him, he can escape and make her think that she's hallucinating but right now he will take the risk and talk to her....... Even if she freak out
