The moon shines brightly in the sky with the stars, the night is very beautiful but it is not when dangerous creatures are lurking around and that's the thing that made him nervous he keeps on thinking about the hellhound that chased them. It's already midnight and he just keep on looking around the house if there's any other creatures that ready to attack them, Elena is fast asleep in her room but Scorch is still checking her if she is fine and he thinks that she doesn't have any nightmares right now, she is very calm and she's not whispering any words so he guess that she is fine.

When it is time for him to check the living room his head suddenly feel like it is breaking but he ignore the pain and continue to walk into the living room from the kitchen but when he reach the living room his vision suddenly look blurry, his sweats are cold too in his opinion but he feels like his body is a little bit hot, he keep on walking but he can't do it so in the end he fell down on the floor and a few seconds later he felt like his body is on fire at the same time he feel his head again so he shouted the pain but it didn't go away he still do it even if two hours past until his vision turned black and he lost his conscious.

Being an angel is not easy if you did something wrong you will receive a punishment that's why some other angels choose to disobey the rules and be a fallen angel because fallen angel are like demons they don't have rules and punishment, sometimes Scorch wish that he is a demon but at the same time not. Freedom is not always the answer, are you going to be happy if you are free but you are doing bad things? But still sometimes he wonders what is the life of demons? They are known for the name the punisher they punish the other creatures who disobey the rules when they are still alive.

He woke up feeling dizzy and his eyes is still blurry but when his vision is cleared he saw that his surrounding is all white like he is in a white field, nothing but white surrounding and him

"Where am I? " he ask himself and he didn't really know where is he, the older angels didn't taught them this kind of place before, he can't feel a single aura there so he decided to walk but when he walk to his right he bump into a invisible wall and he walk straight but this time he didn't bump into any wall so he walk straight but the bumping process continue and in the middle of walking he stepped on a petal, he picked it up and saw that it is a petal of a black rose which smell so good in his opinion. He followed the trail of petals and it leads him into a golden statue of a lady with a sword and there's some red diamonds scattered around it's feet, he also notice that black petals of rose are falling from above but when he look up it looks like the petals are coming out of nowhere. He is just looking at the petals that are falling from above until he felt like someone is watching him so he look around but while he is doing that he felt a gush of wind on his right but no one is there then on his back, on his left and on his front, he continued to look around until he heard a voice.

"Who are you and why are you here? " a smooth, calm and very sweet voice said he look where the voice came from and it came from the girl beside the statue, she is wearing a black dress with red diamonds as a design, also a black and red flower crown above her head and he also notice her shining raven black wings and those eyes he can recognize them

"You are the girl that the truck was about to hit, the girl that I saved" he said at the girl

"Oh you're that angel? Well technically you didn't saved me you saved the driver of that truck that was supposed to die yesterday and because you stop his death you need to be punished" she said and closed her eyes but after she opened it two hellhounds appear out of nowhere

"What? " he whisper and position himself in a defense position, he is very unlucky today or ever since Elena saw him. Yesterday one hellhound chased them and now two was about to kill him just wow

"That's one of the rules, rules of all creatures and that includes humans you can't avoid death you need to face it when your time is up it means you need to die and the council of all creatures will judge you, why are you here? Simple it is because you disobey the rules and you are here to be punish by the way my name is Veena" she said and turn her back

"May I ask what is my punishment? " he said a little nervous because of what Veena said well he didn't know that she is a demon or more like a grim reaper

"Oh your punishment is death" she said then disappear into the thin air and then he saw the hellhounds took a one step forward ready to attack him

Scorch think about the name Veena and yes he remember that he heard her name before when he went to the mermaid lake and those mermaids said that one of the mermaids got the punishment from the demon of death and that is Veena. This is the first trouble he got from the past three hundred years and he feel like the world is in his shoulders, be didn't know what to do in this situation he wants to go back to earth and guard Elena but he can't because of his punishment he knew that he can't go back anymore and now he is scared to die because once that Veena says that you will die it means your soul is her property now and you can't return into any world, she is powerful because she is one of the member of the council, the council of all creatures and she is there to represent the demons, she is also known to be the owner of the hellhounds and that explain his situation right now.

He look at the hellhounds and took a step backwards but the two hellhounds walk forward and started to run into his direction so he got no choice but run and suddenly the invisible walls turn visible and he took a run to the left, to the right, straight and right again but it is a dead end, the hellhounds growl from behind him, he tries to let his wings out or to teleport but nothing works until he heard Veena again.

"I forgot to tell you that you can't use your wings and your powers even if you run you can't escape death unless I say so, good luck because I think you need it" she said and after that the hellhounds run to his direction so he jump above them and run into different direction, Veena is right running and escaping is useless because there's no other things in there just walls and falling black rose petals there's no weapons he can use to defeat those hellhounds, no powers, no weapons means he will die in no time, he have to think for a faster solution.

Scorch hid in one of the walls then he heard the hellhounds running so he decided to surprise it by appearing in front of it and do the most stupidities thing he ever did and that is to punch the hellhound but he success because when he punch it the hellhound shakes it head so he punch it multiple time the it disappear but after he did it a hellhound pounce at him from behind, he punch it but the hellhound really wants to chop off his head he kick it then he stood up and run maybe he can still use his strength in defeating the last hellhound, he is not any ordinary creature at all he is an angel so he is sure that he can do it. His hands hurt a bit and he knows the reason it is because he punch the hellhounds, having contact with the demons pet it is like you touch the fire or you took a bath with the boiling water.

The hellhound growl and when he take a look, he is face to face with the hellhound and because he got startle he obviously punch the hellhound at the point in it's head and it turn into ashes which surprise him because that's the first time he turned a hellhound into an ashes. The walls turn invisible again and more petals fell from above.

"Very well done, you are the first one who fought my hellhounds but sadly you didn't really killed them they are just injured" Veena said while pacing back and forth in front of the statue which appear out of nowhere

The ground started to shake and he heard some weird sounds from beneath the ground

"You think you can escape to your punishment, well sadly not" and after she said that lost souls from hell emerge from the ground and slowly went to him

"But because I'm not that heartless I will give you a sword, a sword that will protect you but it can kill you too" she said and again she disappeared into the thin air, he run and avoid the souls to get the sword in the ground where the statue stand before, once he got the sword he swung it to the nearest soul that he saw but the sword went through the soul like it just hit a smoke, he grunts and look in front of him, she appears again and look at him as if he is a silly clown

"Scorch you are very stupid to believe in my previous statement, they are souls means they're already dead and you can't kill them twice" she said and snapped her fingers then the lost souls disappear, she smiled at him but he just stared at her

"Let me introduce myself properly, my name is Veena, I'm the demon of death and I'm one of the five councilor of all creature" she said and held her hand out asking for a hand shake

"My name's Scorch and I'm a guardian angel" he said and accept the hand shake she is offering

"Don't worry this is just a test and this is not your real punishment, I let the angels to handle your case" she said again

A game with death is not easy it is the hardest thing that you can encounter in your life and he thinks that being punish helps him realise his mistake if he only knew that she is death and that driver is supposed to die if he only knew but it's too late to realise that now, what's done is done you can't see your mistakes in the beginning because you will always see it in the end and it will make you feel the word regret.The demon of death makes him realize that and he knows that the test she is saying is to realise his mistake, he is an angel but funny because he didn't realize it until someone makes him besides he is a guardian angel not the angel of life.

"Go back to heaven and tell the representative of angels that I already did my job" she said and sat in the fountain that again appears out of nowhere but there's a problem

"I don't know how to go back" he said that makes Veena froze at her spot

That's his bigger problem right now.
