"You look so beautiful tonight, and you smell delicious too," I whispered in her ear, snuggling closer to her, on the couch. I chuckled when she elbowed me and shrugged me off, then she moved to the other end of the couch, putting some distance between us. The documents have been signed and the dinner was concluded peacefully. Everything was quiet after Riley left, dad apologized to the Remingtons, and he insisted that the dinner proceeds as planned. And after dinner, the entire family moved to the sitting room where we say in different positions, conversing amongst ourselves, and bonding like a family like my dad always demanded.
